Produced in the 1980s, this Clans of the Highlands bottling of Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky includes a presentation tin featuring Sir Mungo Murray of the Clan Murray. He was the Son of the 2nd Earl of Atholl and would eventually become the 2nd Viscount of Stormont. He also looks pretty sharp in a big, fancy hat.
One of 11 different tin designs produced by the distillery which illustrate some of the most famous Scottish clans.

Edradour is one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries and at the heart of the range, this 10 year old Eastern Highlander is a rather unique single malt, a decidedly rum-like dram with a thick mouthfeel. The distillery’s methods of production remain virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, and we can see why. If it ain’t broke and all that. This single malt’s decade of ageing was spent in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. This is one sherry monster and we love it.

Taking its name from the Gaelic for ‘dawn’, Moch is a wonderful newcomer from Caol Ila and is a must-try for fans of this outstanding distillery. Lighter in style than the standard 12yo expression, Moch is a fantastic easy-drinking dram.
Caol Ila Moch is the first single malt from the distillery to be selected entirely on the basis of its taste, rather than age, cask wood, strength or finish.
The nose is creamy and lemony, before a silky-smooth medium-bodied palate that still packs a peaty punch. The finish is dry, sooty and very more-ish.
Moch was available initially only to the Friends of the Classic Malts exclusively from The Whisky Exchange. We think it’s the best FOCM release in years and a very exciting addition to the Caol Ila family.

This bottle was created to mirror the style of Macallan from the 1930s, which is described as being of ‘intriguing depth’ and with a subtle hint of peat.
Part of a series launched for the Travel Retail market by Macallan in the late 1990s/early 2000s, this expression was created to reflect the flavours of their whiskies produced in the 1940s. A creamier, more bourbon-cask-influenced Macallan than the heavily-Sherried Macallan you’ll likely be familiar with, and with a particularly pronounced peaty hint.

Matured for 27 years, this single malt spent its final seven years finishing in ex-Caroni rum casks, which ought to be pretty exciting for fans of the long-closed Trinidadian distillery. We all know how well Balvenie’s whisky does in a rum cask, and these rare barrels found their way to the distillery thanks to a meeting between its head distiller David Stewart and John Barrett of legendary rum bottler, Bristol Spirits. Indeed, the casks that this whisky was maturing in were all but forgotten, until our blending team discovered them whilst reviewing the warehouse ledgers. Sourced from the legendary wines and spirit merchant, J.G Turney, these casks have been home to this stunning whisky for the past forty years.
This unique 40 Year Old is as rare as it is prized – if you’re ever lucky enough to hold one, be gentle, you’re holding a piece of history! As with all our single malt whiskies, this is non-chill filtered and natural colour.
The pinnacle of the Bunnahabhain range, aged for 40 long years: a piece of distillery history. A combination of casks ‘found’ in the warehouse by the master blender (as is so often the case), these long-aged whiskies were vatted to create this rich, deep and complex dram. Octomore 8.4, the last in this masterclass series, was created to examine the effect of virgin oak on Bruichladdich’s intensely peaty spirit. (The Scottish barley for this edition was peated to 170ppm.) To achieve a balance of smoke and oak characteristics, 20% of the whisky was matured exclusively in virgin oak, while 80% was aged in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and then finished in European virgin oak, which had previously held Octomore 7.4.
The result is a rich and complex dram with notes such as praline, coconut and clove matched by those of barbeque, burnt heather and iodine.

The final release in the Billy Walker 50th Anniversary collection from Glenallachie, this young, feisty single malt represents Billy’s future endeavours. Made with Speyside peat from St Fergus and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-rye whiskey and virgin oak casks for four years, it was bottled in August 2022 and marks the first single malt that Billy has overseen from start to finish since he became master distiller in 2017. Aromas of toasted honeycomb, dried fruits, hazelnuts, dark chocolate, smouldering oak and cinnamon apples fill the nose, complemented by notes of stewed pears, toasted almonds, heather honey, vanilla toffee, smoked barley and ripe apples throughout the palate.
The third and final installment of GlenAllachie’s Past, Present and Future Series, celebrating master distiller Billy Walker’s 50 year career in the whisky industry! In celebration of Master Distiller Billy Walker’s half-century long career in the whisky industry, we are delighted to unveil the second in The Past, Present and Future Series: The GlenAllachie 50th Anniversary Present Edition.
This rare expression illustrates Billy’s present, where he is avidly implementing an incredibly innovative cask management policy. After initial maturation in PX and Oloroso Sherry casks, the spirit enjoyed secondary aging in specially selected Mizunara casks, a very scarce and expensive species of Japanese oak. Notoriously difficult to cooper and prone to leaking, these casks are rarely used for whisky maturation. Although posing difficulties, their porous nature lends to the spirit sinking deeper into the wood, imparting complex notes of sandalwood and cinnamon.
Presented at 48%, with no added colour or chill filtration for maximum flavour.
Limited release of 2,900 bottles worldwide.

It’s an indulgently sweet and mellow single malt with a rich, fruity nose and a beautiful deep vanilla oakiness. On the palate, there are layers of soft berry fruits, crème brûlée and zesty citrus with a spicy oak finish.

Maturation in refill Sherry seasoned casks prevents oak from dominating the flavours of the whisky as it would if first-fill casks were used. This allows our robust and oily new make spirit to gently mature over an extended period of time, delivering a full-on aromatic peat flavour with a surprisingly sweet finish.
A 30 year old from Highland park and a winner of many awards including a Platinum award from the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute.
STORY
In Malt Advocate, John Hansell commented “Whiskies like this one remind me why I fell in love with whisky in the first place” and we know exactly what he means. There’s that fudgy sweetness that characterises the more mature Highland Park, but here it’s combined with complex aromatic spices as well as dark chocolate orange and floral peat notes. Dry at the finish, it leaves an aromatic smoky flavour and a mouth-watering hint of mild, salty sea spray – the result of 30 years’ maturation on Orkney’s windswept island environment

It was bottled as a 14 year old as part of Springbank’s ‘Wood Expressions’ range of whiskies.

A beautiful, extremely limited edition Macallan released for travel retail, Oscuro is made with whisky from 1987 and 1997 and it’s sherried and incredibly rich.
This is the 2015 redesign of the packaging, now presented in the premium decanter style bottle first used for the Macallan Reflexion.
Dark, lusciously rich and satisfying. The Macallan Oscuro is drawn exclusively from oak casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry. An exceptionally high proportion of these are first fill, which endow the whisky with a rich, deep Burnished copper colour and intense flavour. When the casks are at the peak of maturation, the whisky is gently reduced to 46.5% alcohol by volume with natural spring water drawn from boreholes deep under The Macallan Estate. It is then matured in slumbering casks for at least six months, allowing the flavours to blend. It undergoes no further strength reduction and is filtered non-chill at ambient room temperature before being bottled.
