The majority of the aromatic profile of this whisky comes from the casks used in the maturation process. JA.AR Bourbon Cask is matured in charred ex-Bourbon oak casks at first fill. This type of cask gives the whisky its rich woody notes, as well as rich vanilla and caramel notes.
JA.AR Oloroso Cask is fully matured in Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez. The Oloroso wine, which has spent 12 months in oak casks for 12 months, gives our whisky bold aromas of dried fruit, oak and dark chocolate, creating a robust and complex aromatic profile.
This Carpathian Single Malt expression matured exclusively in a European Oak red wine cask, sourced from own winery, is exclusive to Alexandrion & SABER Distilleries 1789 and Romania. A truly unique whisky from a wining collaboration.
