Diageo’s Gordon’s gin brand extended its flavoured range last month with the launch of a new limited edition peach variant.
Gordon’s White Peach Distilled Gin follows the release of flavoured expressions Gordon’s Pink in 2017 and Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon in February this year. Diageo said the launch of Sicilian Lemon is the first in a number of Gordon’s flavour innovations scheduled for release in 2020.

This unusual and stunning gin comes about by taking Indian Summers natural London Dry and maturing it in an ex vintage whisky cask formerly holding a classic single malt. It has lain maturing for a number of years until it reached its optimum taste profile, blending the complex nuances of the cask with the gentle aromatic Indian summer spirit.

A rather stylish gin all the way from German, named after Knut Hansen – a sailor who seemingly had fine facial hair, a selection of tattoos and the most striking baby-blue eyes you’ve ever seen. The gin itself is made using a selection of 14 botanicals, notably apple, basil and cucumber.
Over in Sweden, the folks behind Kopparberg cider took its hallmark flavours of strawberry and lime, and harnessed their deliciousness into this wonderful gin! Alongside juniper, lemon zest and coriander, the two eponymous botanicals are infused into the spirit. Both lemonade and tonic are ace with this one!

The herbs chosen for nginious! are native to Switzerland and include clover blossom, blackcurrant leaves, bee balm and more. Beautifully presented, too.
Gin from Nikka?! Oh yes, my friends, the folks at Nikka aren’t simply just whisky geniuses – they’re accomplished gin producers too! Produced in Coffey stills using a base of barley and corn, Nikka Coffey Gin features a selection of enjoyably vibrant botanicals, including amanatsu, kabosu, shikuwasa and yuzu, as well as sansho pepper, among others.
An impressive-looking premium gin from famous wine and spirits merchants Berry Bros & Rudd, No. 3 London Dry is distilled in copper pot stills at De Kuyper in the Netherlands, counts cardamom seeds and grapefruit peel among its botanicals, and has been bottled at an invigorating 46%.
Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is a spectacular Spanish gin made using a base spirit interestingly made from Albariño grapes (eschewing the more standard grain-based spirit) and a dozen specially selected botanical.
Omg is the creation of Martin Žufánek, of the Žufánek family distillery. He made the move from producing absinthe to gin, though he transferred his herb knowledge to the new spirit, and Omg contains 16 botanicals! The most unusual of these are grains of paradise, lavender flower, and blossoms from the Czech national tree. A top quality, no-nonsense gin right here.
Pink 47 is a fine London Dry gin made from Italian juniper berries. It includes some exotic botanicals too with two different types of angelica and two different corianders. Lavish. There’s also Spanish citrus fruits and almonds and a touch of West African nutmeg, packaged in a handsome cut-glass bottle modelled on the Kharavaya pink diamond.
The first gin from Japan’s legendary Suntory – Roku Gin. This expression is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals that provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.

Time-Honoured Craft
Our botanicals are gently macerated for 96 hours in high-strength spirit before being distilled in a traditional copper pot still. Silent Pool Gin is produced on the Albury Estate in the Surrey Hills, right next to the Silent Pool, a beautiful, mysterious spring-fed lake – what a place to create a gin! Back in the 1860s, Tanqueray creator Charles Tanqueray visited the orange groves of Spain and eventually produced a gin recipe based around the glory of Seville oranges. In early 2018, they released Tanqueray Sevilla Gin, inspired by the recipe written over 140 years ago! If you like your gin to be citrus-focussed and generally excellent, you’re in for a sun-soaked treat.
Officially re-launched in the beginning of 2013, Tanqueray’s limited edition Malacca is a sweet, spicy gin with increased levels of citrus. This is not dissimilar to some of the old-fashioned styles of Old Tom gin, and it works very well in cocktails.

An exotic, world spanning botanical basket makes Tarquin’s Gin. Orris root from Morocco, green cardamom seeds from Guatemala, cinnamon from Madagascar and Devon violets from… Well, from the distiller’s garden in Cornwall.
Southwestern Distillery produce small batches of their artisan Tarquin’s Gin using their flame-fired copper pot still called Tamara, goddess of the Tamar. It’s then bottled by hand and sent off into the world, to spread the news that Cornwall is producing some fabulous gin.
