Kilkerran Work In Progress 2rd Release 2010 (70cl, 46%)
The second release in the Kilkerran Work in Progress series. Bottles will be released at regular intervals until the whisky finally reaches full maturity. It’s a great way of watching the whisky develop. This June 2010 edition is part of a release of 15,000 bottles.

Kilkerran Work In Progress 3rd Release (70cl, 46%)
The third release from the Mitchell’s Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. This one was bottled in June 2011, and it has a wonderful honeyed, chocolaty flavour.

Longrow 1989 Sherry Wood 13 Year Old 70cl, 53.2%
A 1989 vintage Longrow, the peated malt produced at Springbank distillery. This was aged for 13 years in an ex-sherry butt. Malt Maniac Olivier Humbrecht liked this one so much, he awarded it 91 points.

A cask strength Longrow from Springbank that spent its last two years in a Tokaji cask, adding some mouthwatering sweet notes and extra complexity.

Longrow 2000 7 Year Old Gaja Barolo Finish (70cl, 55.8%)
This is a rather intriguing bottling from the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, released under the Longrow name. It’s a seven year old single malt, which was distilled in 2000 and spent five and a half years in refill bourbon casks, before being moved over to Gaja Barolo wine casks, eventually being bottled up in 2008. 12,120 bottles were produced.

A NAS Longrow to accompany the 18 year-old that most of us will never get a bottle of. Subtle it aint, but fans of peaty, citrussy young drams will not be disappointed. Picked up the top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010, and another gong at the Malt Maniacs awards in the same year.

Springbank 10 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
Blended from a mixture of bourbon and sherry casks, the light colour of this malt belies the richness of its character. The nose has a wide range of aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat, while the palate shows touches of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and the salty tang characteristic of the distillery. Picked up the top prize in its category at the World Whiskies Awards 2014.
Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley (70cl, 51.6%)
Springbank Local Barley 10yo 2021 700ml
This is one of a select number of releases produced using malted barley harvested from neighbouring farms in the Campbeltown area. They were first introduced in the late 1990s, and were eventually re-named as the Local Barley series in the 2000s.
This is the 2021 release of the mid-2010s revival of the Local Barley range. Originally intended to be a 5 part series, which would have made this the last, but this is instead now being marketed as an annual release.
Distilled in May 2011 and bottled in December 2021, the ‘local barley’ comes from the varietal, Belgravia, and was grown in Campbeltown at the Glencraigs Farm.
Limited to only 15000 bottles.
This Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled from barley grown on the Kintyre Peninsula within a few miles of Springbank. The barley is then malted on our own malt floors using traditional production techniques before it is turned into spirit, matured into whisky and bottled on-site, making this a 100% Campbeltown Single Malt.”
The 2021-release of Springbank’s annual Local Barley 10 Year Old single malt has been made with Belgravia barley from Glencraigs Farm near Campbeltown. Aromas of digestive biscuits, summer flowers, rich malt, vanilla custard, custard cream biscuits and vibrant cherry fill the nose, complemented by notes of Victoria sponge, honey, sweet barley, sticky syrup and salted caramel throughout the palate.

The Springbank 12 Year Old calls to mind the dunnage warehouses in which it matured. This bold and rich single malt has a smooth texture and medium dry finish, with elements of mint and liquorice.
