Spirit of 1966 Whisky
This limited edition single malt celebrates the English football team’s iconic victory in the 1966 World Cup, in particular Sir Geoff Hurst MBE, who scored the famed hat-trick which secured the win. Marrying a selection of unique casks, each bottle has been hand signed by Sir Geoff Hurst himself! Only 1966 bottles were produced, we’re sure Sir Hurst must be relieved about that, seeing as he had to sign them all. This should certainly hit the back of the net as a gift for an England football fan.
This is a unnamed English single malt whisky that was bottled by The Spirt of 66 as part of the Sir Geoff Hurst Collection. The bottling commemorates the 1966 World Cup Final which saw England beat West Germany 4-2.
One of 1,966 bottles, all of which have been hand signed by Sir Geoff Hurst himself.

A complex and mysterious limited-edition single malt from The Lakes distillery’s Whiskymaker’s Editions series, Infinity was matured in a combination of oloroso, Palo Cortado, fino and Manzanilla sherry casks until it was bottled in late 2021. The palate offers notes of polished oak, incense sticks, cocoa nibs, sea salt, toasted rye bread, dates, treacle, baking spices and forest fruits that linger in the finish.

Amrut Kadhambam Third Edition (70cl, 50%)

Here we have an Indian single malt from Amrut, titled Kadhambam, which means ‘mixture’ in Tamil, and you’ll realise why that name was chosen once you hear all about the cask maturation. It’s initially matured in bourbon casks, before being transferred into Oloroso sherry casks, then moved to brandy casks and, finally, into rum casks. Finally, the whisky was bottled at 50% ABV, packed with a pretty unique flavour profile.

For No.7, it’s a blend of oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, comprising Spanish and American oak, that was bottled at 52% ABV non-chill filtered, with natural colour.

An Indian single malt whisky from the Paul John distillery, located in tropical Goa. Paul John distillery uses six row barley that is sourced from foothills of the Himalayas. The high fibre and protein content in six row barley, offers a distinct tannic character to the spirit. The tropical climate for maturation means a high angel’s share, 8-10%, as opposed to Scotland’s 2-3%. After just six years of maturation, around 40% of the cask contents is lost to evaporation. That loss would take around 24 years in Scotland! A cracking addition to That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Series, with a label that imagines James Bond, Bollywood style.

This four-year-old single malt from Australia’s Corowa distillery joins the Cinema Series from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The whisky spent its time maturing in a muscat cask, imparting generous notes of figs and dates to the chocolatey malt at its core. Amrut or ‘amrita’ is Sanskrit for ‘nectar of the gods / of life’.

They began to produce whisky back in 2008, and now we can finally get a taste of their single malt! This particularly expression was aged in Sherry casks, resulting in classic chocolate-coated raisin notes.
