  • ( 0 Customer Review )

The Casg Annamh series from Aberlour takes its name from the Gaelic for “rare cask”, and a trio of casks are used to create the expressions – European oak sherry casks and two types of American oak cask. The result is brimming with toffee and dried fruit, alongside a generous handful of kitchen spices. This is the fourth batch from the series, delivering yet more Speyside single malt tastiness

Adelphi Blended Scotch 70cl, 40%

  • ( 0 Customer Review )

A Blended Scotch Whisky from Adelphi, perhaps better known as an independent bottler. However, this blend of grain and malt whisky is from its private stock which is kept in a solera system. Though exactly where the whisky hails from is kept rather hush-hush, we suspect it contains spirit from all over the shop, from Islay, Speyside, and Campbeltown.

Akashi Blue Label Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

  • ( 0 Customer Review )

Akashi whisky is the only whisky in the world that is made by a Toji (grand-master in the art of sake making) by implementing sake-making methodologies into the whisky making process. The distil pot used is smaller than those used by both Scottish and other Japanese distilleries, which in turn, decreases the levels of fusel alcohol. As a result, Akashi whisky does not require as long of an ageing process, while its new make is smooth and delicate.

Akashi blue is a blended whisky reserved in Japanese Shochu cask (American Oak) around 2 years, aged in bourbon cask before finishing in sherry casks for 1 years.

This tasty Bourbon is the work of American Eagle, distilled from a mash bill of 84% corn, so you can be sure there’s buttery notes galore in here. The whiskey has been matured in American oak barrels for four years, and was treated to charcoal-mellow filtration before it was bottled at 40% ABV. Superb sipped neat, but also makes some great cocktails. Bourbon Sour, anyone?

This impressive Indian single malt is the delicious work of Amrut. The 2019 release of Greedy Angels was matured in oak casks for a whole decade before bottling at a generous 55% ABV. The liquid was presented in this rather elegant decanter, complete with glass stopper. The title comes from the Angel’s Share, the name given to the whisky that evaporates during maturation. Those angels can be greedy indeed, but they didn’t get their hands on this whisky!

Amrut Greedy Angels 10 Year Old is a rare dram and it’s an interesting expression to say the least.  This is the oldest Indian whisky and the limited edition release saw just 320 sets available across the globe – so it is a true collector’s item. The nose is fairly exotic with some banana, ginger and spiced oranges and if you add a drop of H2O you can detect apricots and coconut.

Amrut Fusion X is a collectable with just 1010 bottles released internationally to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Amrut Distilleries.

Amrut Fusion X (ten), a special, limited-edition single malt whisky was launched on the November 25 in honour of the 10th anniversary of Amrut Distilleries. This is the brand that put Indian whiskies on the global map and gave us Amrut Spectrum, Naarangi, Amalgam, and of course, Fusion.

In 2009, the late chairman and managing director, Neelkanta Rao Jagdale was high up in the mountains of Nilgiris in Ooty. Fired with the desire to create a whisky that was Indian in nature, but international in its profile, he worked with several samples of peated and unpeated malts at his summer residence in the hills, till he arrived at the mix that was to become the final character of Amrut Fusion.

On his return to Bengaluru, the production team got to work, and Amrut Fusion was launched in 2010. It went on to win three awards and was adjudged 3rd Best Whisky in the world by whisky-guru Jim Murray. As a brand, Amrut is currently present in 58 countries with a globally growing footprint.

The cap is unique and comes from Portugal. It has a sketch of Neel surrounded by a rangoli pattern. It also comes with an integrated NFC chip in partnership with Vlinder, which adds a great level of safety to your collectable bottle. Buyers can tap the NFC on the bottle and will know on their smartphones if the bottle has ever been opened. They will also be able to access a vast array of information about the whisky online.

Whisky lovers, we certainly hope you can add this bottle to your collection.
