We’ve seen the Revival and the Evolution, and now Glenglassaugh are adding a peated expression to their range. The Torfa (which refers to the Old Norse word for turf or peat) has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels and weighs in at 20 PPM. We love to see that Glenglassaugh is back up and running again after being closed for over 20 years, and they’ve even got enough momentum to try new things, as this is their first peated single malt Scotch whisky!

Highland Park Saint Magnus 12 Year Old Edition 2 (70cl, 55%)

  • ( 0 Customer Review )

The second release in the Magnus series from Highland Park, this will sell out before we even finish writing this sentence. It was created to celebrate Saint Magnus, who was described in the Orkenyinga Saga (no idea either) as “a man of extraordinary distinction, tall, with a fine, intelligent look about him.” It goes on this way, with numerous further compliments. We reckon he was writing about himself. Sadly, Saint Magnus was murdered by his treacherous cousin, Haakon.

This bottle was part of a private collection – if you’d like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!

15 year old single malt from the Tomatin distillery, which have been treated to a generous five-year-long finishing period in casks that previously held Portuguese Moscatel wine. Not a particularly common type of cask for whisky maturation, but one that imparts hefty notes of dried fruit and toasted nuts – sounds excellent to us!
