Glenfiddich 8 Year Old Pure Malt 1970s
The pictures are from the actual bottle frond and back, if you’d like more detailed photos just get in touch!
An old bottling of Glenfiddich from the 1970s, with a rear label depicting a map of Scotland.
This is an early 1970s example, with the the older capsule style and larger rear label.
A 1970s bottling of Glenfiddich 8 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky (or ‘Pure Malt Scotch Whisky’, as the label proclaims – how times have changed). This collectible bottle is over 45 years old.
The bottling on which Glenfiddich cemented its reputation in the 1970s, this is a fabulously complex spirit for its age, (although 8yo was regarded as pretty old back then). A very tropical, fruity dram – this is a winner.
Part of a series launched for the Travel Retail market by Macallan in the late 1990s/early 2000s, this expression was created to reflect the flavours of their whiskies produced in the 1940s. A creamier, more bourbon-cask-influenced Macallan than the heavily-Sherried Macallan you’ll likely be familiar with, and with a particularly pronounced peaty hint.

After the Absolut Blank campaign, where 20 artists had complete creative freedom to redesign the iconic bottle shape, we were able to continue the campaign through Mario Wagner and his space-inspired artwork.
Wagner’s design’s visual language is based on the 1960s – an era characterized by the race to the moon and the legendary moon landing. To ensure visual continuity, he used some elements that were also part of his designs for the Absolut Blank campaign.
Continuing this campaign with such a custom bottle was honestly not part of the original plan – but when a project evolves into something new, why on earth would we hold back on a space-themed limited edition?

This release celebrates the Midleton Distillery’s master distillery, Barry Crockett, a man with more than 50 years of experience in distilling, 35 of those years as the master distiller of the Midleton Distillery. This special whisky is a blend of single pot still whiskies laid down over the course of 22 years. These whiskies have mainly been aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a very vanilla-rich and slightly spicy whisky with an almost perfectly balanced oak influence. It is bottled at 46% without chillfiltration.
Released in 2011, Midleton’s Barry Crockett edition was named after the distillery’s master distiller, and it is aged in both bourbon and new American oak barrels! Very interesting indeed and a limited release of around 2,500 bottles per year.
Named after Midleton master distiller Barry Crockett.

The oldest Macallan Double Cask ever released, this superbly elegant Speyside malt spent 30 years in American and Spanish oak sherry casks prior to bottling. Even at this age, there’s still fresh fruit to be found in this old Speysider with vivid russet apple, plum and fig on the nose. The palate shows cinnamon, raisins, and rich vanilla that give way to a long finish of toffee and sweet oak spice.
Edrington has added another ultra-premium extension to The Macallan’s portfolio, this time unveiling a 30-year-old single malt Scotch whisky.
Sitting in the brand’s ‘Double Cask’ series, the single malt consists of liquid matured in both Sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks. The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old joins the ‘gold’, 12-, 15- and 18-year-old expressions in the series.
The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old, aged for thirty years in a harmonious union of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, to create a unique taste and character.
Acclaimed photographer and artist Erik Madigan Heck was inspired by nature and the landscape of The Macallan Estate when capturing the complex flavour of The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old.
The whisky itself is a rich and luxurious medley of flavour, and Erik Madigan Heck used natural light to capture this depth of character in his still life. The reflective surface enhances the idea of flavours blending– almost as if seamlessly merging together as one – with the soft focus echoing the long-lasting taste experience.
The whisky’s golden acorn natural colour is the focal point of the shot. Its rich tone and translucent glow has influenced the colour palette of the piece as a whole, with the soft caramels and browns and pops of red and green once more showcasing the depth of its flavour profile.

Released in 2013, Thorfinn is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.
Thorfinn is the pinnacle of this selection. Thorfinn, aka Thorfinn the Mighty (b. 1009-d.1065) is still highly revered to this day in Orkney. He took over the earl-ship from his brother Einar after he was killed by Thorfinn’s foster-father. He wore a gilded gold helmet and this symbol is prominently placed on this bottling.
Thorfinn was a man of much power and influence, who at one stage controlled the whole of the Orkney Islands. The Orkneyinga Saga described him as a great chief, the tallest and strongest of men whose remains are buried in St Magnus Cathedral on Orkney. The dark russet appearance sets the tone for this deep and complex whisky. Spicy smokiness arrives at the fore and is followed by an array of flavours. Ginger, dried fruits and lingering spice are a result of the scarce and valuable European oak sherry seasoned casks.
Created using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Thorfinn delivers a deep and complex array of flavours. Think fiery ginger fusing with sun-dried fruits and fistfuls of spice, all emboldened by our signature smokiness.

Since the early 90’s, we have had the privilege of collaborating with fashion designers such asTom Ford and Versace, Stella McCartney and Gaultier. With Absolut Mode, we wanted to further strengthen our commitment to the world of fashion and reflect its diversity by launching this twelve facet bottle in collaboration with three leading names from the contemporary fashion scene.
The campaign, featuring supermodel Shannan Click, was shot by renowned fashion photographer Sharif Hamza. To celebrate the launch of Absolut Mode Edition, we also collaborated with leading fashion designerGareth Pugh, who dressed the bottle in an amazing outfit.
To capture the unique bottle design that is wrapped with a band in midnight blue silk cloth with text embroidery, Sharif Hamza built a large version of the bottle with mirror facets. He placed supermodel Shannan Click within the bottle and dressed her in midnight blue creation. The shoot resulted in one of the most fashionable campaigns Absolut has ever made.
Gareth Pugh’s reflection of fashion is showcased through a unique handmade bottle collar, which sits perfectly on the bottle. Inspired by the “Stealth Bomber” arms from his Spring/Summer 2007 show, Pugh’s bottle collar enhances the silhouette of Absolut Mode, while simultaneously capturing the essence of Pugh’s impressive work.
A special release of Absolut, combining a litre of their crisp Swedish vodka with a limited edition bottle. The bottle is faceted to reflect light and the label is made out of fabric, in honour of the fashion industry.

Metsavaht took his inspiration from his own photos of Ipanema and brought it to the world of Absolut, adding the typical carioca elements such as sand, the sidewalk of Ipanema and the Dois Irmãos Mountain.
The exceptional taste of Absolut Rio includes a combination of tropical fruits – orange, mango and passion fruit.

Glenallachie distillery was built by Mackinlays in 1967 to meet the demands of its blends following an upturn in sales in the US. In its short history it has passed through the hands of Invergordon Distillers and Pernod-Ricard. During this period the focus was always on the provision of blends, with over 20 years between the first Mackinlay’s distillery bottlings of its single malt and the next official release from Chivas Brothers in 2005. Now in the hands of Billy Walker and being pushed as a single malt brand since 2017, prior to this, the only real opportunity to try Glenallachie was through sought after independent bottlings like this.
Old Particular is Douglas Laing’s flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing. Xtra Old Particular is the premium version of the brand, and is reserved for casks the company considers the Laing “family jewels.”
This Glenallachie was distilled in March 1995 and aged in a single refill hogshead until being bottled in April 2020.
One of 254 bottles.

The Snow Grouse
Like the hardy ptarmigan or the snow grouse as it is known in the Scottish Highlands, this Scotch is perfectly at home in severely cold conditions. Try it neat after it has been exposed to a short spell in the Arctic conditions of your freezer.
The Famous Grouse
Serve a measure of The Famous Grouse in a large tumbler. Add water to taste.
The Black Grouse
A timely innovation from Famous Grouse – this blend is based on peated Islay malts, and promises ‘reassuring smoothness with aromatic, peaty flavours’.

In 1749, Italian Giacomo Justerini travelled to London to try to win the heart of famous opera singer, Margherita Bellino; despite failing to do this, he stayed in the capital and established a wine merchant with George Johnson. The Maxwell House Decanter was considered one of the most beautiful of its time and oddly enough it was not Jack Daniel who was responsible for designing it. That honor instead went to Lem Motlow. The origin of this decanter’s name dates back to the year 1859 when Colonel John Overton Jr. began construction on a new hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Ironically, had it not been for a night out on the town, this hotel might never have been built…
Over the years, the Maxwell House Hotel became a well-known stopping point for famous people passing through the South. Lem Motlow knew of the hotel’s popularity and prestige and saw this as a business opportunity for the Distillery…
To commemorate the decanter that Lem Motlow first presented to Colonel Overton, the Distillery released a half gallon replica bottle in 1971.
Please Notice This Decanter is Empty Never Open

Gouden Carolus Esmeralda becomes the 6th vintage at Gouden Carolus. Esmeralda is a limited edition of 8000 bottles on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of Stokerij De Molenberg. After an initial maturation of 30 months in ex Bourbon barrels, a second finish of 48 months in Madeira wine barrels followed. Exactly 600 years ago, Portuguese explorers arrived on the island of eternal spring and named it after the abundance of wood (‘Madeira’). This green emerald (‘Esmeralda’) in the Atlantic Ocean is known for its fortified wines. The notes of raisins and nuts give this fruity and spicy whiskey a seductive elegance. The soft sweet taste is broken with a slight acidity and results in a long, rich aftertaste. The 6th Anniversary Edition Esmeralda was appropriately given a green color that fits nicely with the previous colors. The previous edition,
Absolut Orient Apple is made exclusively from natural ingredients, and unlike some other flavored vodkas, it doesn’t contain any added sugar. Absolut Orient Apple is fresh and fruity with a distinct character of ripen red apples with a slight note of ginger.
In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced the continuous distillation with which he made Absolut Rent Brännvin. Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. Absolut Orient Apple is made the same way, the only difference is the taste of ripen red apple and ginger. And, like the rest of the family, it’s produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birth town. Since the process will never change, neither will the true taste of Absolut Orient Apple.
The main ingredients in Absolut Orient Apple are Absolut Vodka and ripen red apple and ginger flavor. Absolut Vodka is made from water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus where it’s protected from impurities. The winter wheat is also grown in Åhus and differs from other crops: it’s sown one fall, and harvested the next one. Days in between it grows under the Swedish snow developing its hard grain. Also, the use of fertilizers is minimized. Of course, the apples and ginger are as natural as the rest of the ingredients.
Absolut Elyx is a true luxury vodka, built on the principles of quality, integrity and craftsmanship, manually distilled in a copper still. The result is an award winning vodka with a rich and smooth mouth feel. We call it liquid silk. Perfect for your martinis or even on the rocks.
The second release in the Magnus series from Highland Park, this will sell out before we even finish writing this sentence. It was created to celebrate Saint Magnus, who was described in the Orkenyinga Saga (no idea either) as “a man of extraordinary distinction, tall, with a fine, intelligent look about him.” It goes on this way, with numerous further compliments. We reckon he was writing about himself. Sadly, Saint Magnus was murdered by his treacherous cousin, Haakon.

15 year old single malt from the Tomatin distillery, which have been treated to a generous five-year-long finishing period in casks that previously held Portuguese Moscatel wine. Not a particularly common type of cask for whisky maturation, but one that imparts hefty notes of dried fruit and toasted nuts – sounds excellent to us!
