The palate offers notes of sweet apples, almonds, pears, sticky marzipan, vanilla, plum and milk chocolate that build into lingering flavours of spiced pineapple, black toffee, sultana, cinnamon, pecan pie and mango on the finish.

Interestingly enough, this whisky has no political associations. It is, in fact, named “Parliament” after the collective term for a group of rooks – and there is a Parliament of Rooks living in the trees near GlenDronach…

The whisky was recreated down to the very last detail by Whyte and Mackay’s blender extraordinaire, Richard Paterson. The final replica bottle of Mackinlay’s blend contains whiskies from Speyside, the Island, and the Highlands, and the recipe even includes some very rare 1983 Glen Mhor!
