White Heather 21 Year Old (70cl, 48%)
The folks at GlenAllachie (including the legendary Billy Walker) have gone and made a blended Scotch whisky! White Heather 21 Year Old is made with whiskies from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay, aged in first-fill American barrels, sherry butts, and second-fill barrels and hogsheads. The blend also enjoyed three years of additional maturation in Pedro Ximénez puncheons, Oloroso puncheons, and Appalachian virgin oak casks. The name comes from a blended whisky brand that was discontinued back in the 1980s, which was acquired by The GlenAllachie Distillers Company in 2017.

Compass Box Stranger & Stranger (70cl, 46%)
A very interesting spirit produced by Compass Box in honour of their long term collaborators, design company Stranger and Stranger.
This bottling is technically not a whisky, as it contains 1% “sacrificial spirit”: wheat and barley distillate from Girvan distillery that had been used to season experimental new American oak barrels for a year, before a brief period in refill hogsheads. As it is under 3 years old, it cannot be considered a whisky. Compass Box state that the spirit had an intensely woody character with plenty of vanilla flavour.
The remaining 99% of the blend is taken from Glenlossie, Glen Elgin and Linkwood, with the whisky aged between 17 and 22 years old. Glenlossie provides 80%, drawn from a re-charred Hogshead. 14% is taken from re-charred barrels from Glen Elgin, whilst Linkwood provides just 5%, from a sherry butt.
The whisky is fruity and floral, with powerful notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom, alongside juicy citrus and apples, with some slight cut grass, a hint of mint, burnt sugar, vanilla custard, a touch of sweet wine and sultana, with a faint bright oak sweetness.
Bottled at 46% ABV, and without out chill filtration or colouration, this blend enjoys a full body.
The label is based upon Stranger & Stranger’s logo, altered with their trademark creativity.
Less than 5,000 bottles were released.

A super-premium release celebrated with an extraordinary around-the-world luxury yacht journey. This blended malt is made with three single malts married in European oak casks. The crystal decanter moves along with the motion of the ocean and its ‘swing’ design means it doesn’t fall over. Clever.

Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old Islay Origin (1L, 42%)
Released as part of the Johnnie Walker Black Label Origin series, this here is the Islay Origin expression! It marries a blend of Islay malts, including the likes of Caol Ila and Lagavulin. The whisky is designed to be just as delicious in dram form (yeah, that’s probably what it’s called) as it is in a Highball, and this particular expression works wonders when paired with ginger ale.
Mackinlay’s 12 Year Old Legacy 1970s 1980s (75cl, 43%)
A very rare bottling of Mackinlay’s 12 Year Old Legacy blended Scotch whisky, which we think was produced in the 1970s 1980s. It’s got a rather interestingly shaped bottle, not unlike that of Jura whiskies…
This bottle was part of a private collection.
