A 2007-vintage Australian rum from Plantation, made at Beenliegh Artisan Distillery and matured in bourbon casks for 13 years, before being transported to Europe for one year continental aging in Ferrand casks. Aromas of peaches, apricots, vanilla, coconut and lilac fill the nose, complemented by notes of cooked fruits, citrus, cocoa, vanilla and exotic fruits throughout the palate.

Plantation Australia 12 Year Old 2009

A single cask rum from Plantation – which recently changed its name to ‘Planteray’.

This 2009 single vintage rum was distilled from molasses in column stills at Beenleigh Distillery in Queensland Australia, the oldest operating distillery in the country.

The spirit was initially aged in Bourbon barrels for 11 years in the tropical heat of Queensland, before a further year in Ferrand Cognac casks in France, and an additional finish in Palo Cortado sherry casks. This all adds up to a complex and flavoursome final product.

The spirit itself offers notes notes of sweet citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit), pears, apricots, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, dried fruits, sweet grapes, bananas, cherries, yellow plums, toffee, tobacco leaf, intense oak, pineapple, honey, almonds, oily brazil nuts and more caramelised pear.

The Plantation Fiji Islands – Single Cask Kilchoman Finish is a unique, limited release rum produced at the South Pacific distillery in Fiji and bottled by the independent bottler Maison Ferrand. Distilled in 2009 from molasses with an ABV of 49.6%, . This rum is characterized by a smoky and woody aroma complemented by tropical fruit, peat, and roasted notes. Its flavor profile features prominent woody, whiskey, peat, smoky, and dry elements. RumX users appreciate the double aging, unique blend of flavors, and the long finish that challenges the boundaries of traditional rum. This rum is perfect for rum enthusiasts who want to expand their collection and impress whiskey-drinking friends at the same time.

Single Traditional Column Still Rum

This colourful bottling is Plantation’s homage to the Fiji Islands. Distilled from Fijian molasses, it’s initially aged for around three years in the tropical climate in bourbon casks, before it’s sent over to France for a secondary maturation in French oak for a year. A spicy, creamy and tropical affair, and a sure fire way to taste a sense of place! An excellent sipper, and it certainly stands up to being used in all sorts of cocktails. Plus, look at that iguana on the label! What a cheerful little fellow!

One of our favorite rum brands, this ridiculously easy to drink rum from Panama was selected for Cask by our spirits buyer. Having spent 6 years in Bourbon barrels, one year in cognac barrels, and a final year in a Cabreuva cask (Brazilian native wood), this rum has layer upon layer of flavor to explore. Diplomatico fans take note.

A particularly pleasing bottling of Peruvian rum from Plantation! This one was distilled in 2006 and aged in tropical climate for 11 years before it was transferred to France for a further two years of ageing in Ferrand casks. Eventually, it was bottled at 43.1% ABV, complete with the classic Plantation twine-wrapped bottle.

Distilled in 2008 in Trinidad, this Plantation rum underwent both tropical and continental maturation, having been matured in ex-bourbon casks in Trinidad and finished in France in Ferrand Cognac casks.
