Late in the Summer of 2013, the 2nd bottle in the Master Distiller Series was released. Honoring Jess Motlow, the Master Distiller from 1911 to 1941, this bottle was initially released with the incorrect date printed on the bottle, showing 1911 to 1944. This was quickly realized by the Distillery but some lucky people were able to purchase an “error” bottle before they were recalled.

Making its debut in September of 2012, this current series of bottles celebrates the 7 Master Distillers throughout the history of the Jack Daniel Distillery. Available in 2 sizes (750ml & 1L), each bottle is filled with 86 proof whiskey. They are also each individually numbered and sold in a collectible box. For display purposes, when 2 boxes are put side-by-side they complete an image of the Master Distiller being commemorated.

A 125-YEAR MYSTERY, CAPTURED IN A BOTTLE.

This special edition marks the 125th anniversary when Mr. Jack Daniel opened the doors of his Red Dog Saloon^TM. Formerly situated on the Lynchburg town square, all that remains of the Red Dog Saloon^TM are myths and legends – until now.

We are pleased to release the limited edition Red Dog Saloon^TM , commemorating the days when you could buy a drink of Jack’s smooth sippin’ Tennessee Whiskey in the town where it was made. Like every drop of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, this limited edition is distilled right here in Lynchburg, just as it was when Mr. Jack opened his saloon back in 1892. And, if the Red Dog Saloon was anything like its sister watering hole, the White Rabbit Saloon^TM, the house was packed with music, camaraderie and conversation. We hope you enjoy yours the same way.

Bottled at 86 proof, Red Dog Saloon is available in select markets across the US and internationally.

The 2nd bottle in this series again focuses on the Distillery, but this time depicts the hard work that is done every day to create this exceptional whiskey.

In the United States, these “Scenes” bottles are available in a 750ml size with 86 proof whiskey, and are not sold in a box or with a hang tag. This series can also be found in Europe as 1 liter bottles filled with 86 proof whiskey and in Canada as 750ml bottles filled with 80 proof whiskey.

Next in the series, the 3rd bottle shifts focus to life outside the Distillery in the town square of Lynchburg, only a short walk from the cave spring hollow. This bottle depicts people socializing in front of the Lynchburg Hardware & General Store which was built by Lem Motlow in 1912.

Considered an experimental whiskey, this limited release became available in October of 2018 and was sold exclusively at the Jack Daniel Distillery and at select liquor stores around the state of Tennessee. This line of whiskeys will make up a new series of bottles with Jeff Arnett’s Master Tasters choosing each one. This series will have a few new additions per year with each being limited to about 24,000 bottles.

Sold in a 375ml bottle, the whiskey found in the Hickory Smoked bottle matured in barrels with charred hickory staves which added a smoky flavor to the whiskey. This offering was bottled at 100 proof.

This experimental release saw the whiskey finished in barrels which used smoked hickory wood staves.

Sold in a 375ml bottle, the whiskey found in the High Angel’s Share Barrel bottle was barreled in January of 2013 and got its name from the the higher than normal evaporation that occurred during the aging process. This of course is referred to as the “angel’s share” that goes missing.
