Description

Jack Daniels Master Distiller No. 3 1L Release 2014 86 Proof is the third commemorative release in the Jack Daniels Master Distiller Series. Released during 2014, this edition honours Lemuel “Lem” Tolley, Jack Daniels grandnephew, who served as the distillery’s Master Distiller from 1941 until 1964.

During Tolleys time in charge, the Jack Daniel Distillery experienced significant growth while maintaining its established whiskey-making traditions. His portrait appears prominently on the bottle and presentation packaging, giving this release a distinctive historical identity within the series.

The 1-litre edition is bottled at 43% ABV, equivalent to 86 proof. It offers the recognisable Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey character, with sweet vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, ripe banana, gentle spice and a smooth, warming finish. Jack Daniel’s describes its traditional Tennessee whiskey style as charcoal mellowed through sugar maple charcoal before maturation in handcrafted barrels.

Each bottle from the Master Distiller Series was individually numbered and supplied in a specially designed collectible box. When corresponding presentation boxes are placed together, the artwork forms a larger portrait of the Master Distiller being commemorated.

Why Choose Jack Daniels Master Distiller No. 3 1L Release 2014 86 Proof

This release stands out because it combines classic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey with a presentation dedicated to an important figure from the distillery’s history.

The uncommon 1-litre format, stronger 43% bottling strength, individually numbered presentation and Lem Tolley artwork make it especially appealing to Jack Daniel’s collectors.

For drinkers, it offers a familiar yet slightly fuller Jack Daniels profile, with vanilla, caramel, banana, toasted oak and warming spice. For collectors, it represents the third chapter in the Master Distiller Series and an important bottle for completing the full numbered collection.

Ideal For.

This bottle is ideal for Jack Daniels collectors searching for Master Distiller Series No. 3 in the larger 1-litre format.

It is ideal for Tennessee whiskey drinkers who enjoy smooth, sweet whiskey with vanilla, caramel, ripe banana, toasted oak and light spice.

It is also ideal for collectors building complete Jack Daniels Master Distiller, commemorative bottle or limited-edition presentation-box collections.

Collector’s Note

Jack Daniels Master Distiller No. 3 has strong collector appeal because it honours Lem Tolley, the third individual represented in the distillery’s commemorative Master Distiller Series.

Released in 2014, the bottle is distinguished by Tolley’s portrait, its individually numbered presentation and its decorative collector’s box. The larger 1-litre edition is particularly attractive because it has a stronger shelf presence and is less commonly encountered than standard 70cl or 75cl releases.

The presentation boxes were designed as part of a connected display concept, making No. 3 especially important for anyone attempting to assemble the complete Master Distiller Series. A sealed bottle with its original box in excellent condition is therefore considerably more desirable to collectors.
