Michter’s US*1 Sour Mash Toasted Barrel Finish Limited Release 70cl, 43%
Michter’s Sour Mash Whiskey was once an incredibly popular expression back in the 1970s and 1980s, though in recent years, it had disappeared from the market. However, it has returned in the shape of Michter’s US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey – awesome! Very well balanced notes of sugared almonds, cinnamon spice and vanilla sweetness.
Michter’s US*1 Small Batch Bourbon 70cl, 45.7%
This American whiskey from Michter’s Distiller in Louisville, Kentucky, is matured in barrels which had previously held bourbon. As such, this expression cannot be called bourbon, as bourbon needs to be matured in new American oak barrels – hence why it’s called whiskey instead. Slightly confusing legal nomenclature aside, it’s bloomin’ marvellous!

With a rich flavour, Makers Mark bourbon is a delicious US bourbon whisky made with red winter wheat (instead of the usual rye) for a smoother finish. A rich, fruity nose and a spiced honey and fruit peel palate make this a real treat
Maker’s Mark 46 70cl, 47%
The first new Maker’s Mark recipe for at least 50 years, Maker’s 46 is named for the number of different wood ‘recipes’ they tried before getting it right. Bottled at 47% it is matured in part in barrels containing a ‘ladder’ of toasted new French oak barrel staves to give more spice, sweetness and vanilla.

This hotly-anticipated whiskey is a spice-driven expression, so it ought to be great as a postprandial tipple on a chilly evening, we reckon.

Jim Beam Wee Whisky Glass Make History 8,5cm
The Wee Jim Beam Glass, sometimes called the Distillers glass, is a smaller version of the traditional Glencairn Whisky Glass. They are great for whisky tasting parties and events or for a small glass after a hard days work. It measures 3 3/8″ tall and 2″ wide and has a 2.5 oz. capacity. “Wee Glencairn Glass” is stamped on the bottom indicating it is a genuine Glencairn glass.
