ABSOLUT UNIQUE is a daring concept, even for a company as passionate about creativity as ABSOLUT,” says Jonas Tåhlin, Vice President Global Marketing at The Absolut Company. “Anyone could do one or two unique products. We’re making close to four million. For ABSOLUT UNIQUE, ABSOLUT had to re-engineer its entire production line. It required a complex interaction of human and mechanical elements, and a carefully orchestrated randomness, to achieve the desired end result. Splash guns and colour-generating machines were set up and complex coating, pattern and placement algorithms were programmed in to ensure that no two bottles would be alike. Thirty-five different colours were used, and fifty-one pattern types were applied to the bottles. A striking look was achieved by colour contrasts and a white, mat paper label that features each bottle’s unique number.The result was even better than anticipated. “ABSOLUT UNIQUE feels a bit ‘mad scientist,’ a bit street art,” says Jonas Tåhlin. “When the bottles first appeared on the conveyer belt, we cheered. By that point the production line looked more like an artist’s studio than a bottle factory. These are really striking bottles. Everyone will find a personal favourite.””A lot of world-class creators have made their interpretations of our iconic bottle. But this time ABSOLUT was the artist,” continues Tåhlin. “Our customers are all unique – so we wanted to give them each a one-of-a-kind bottle as individual as they are. We loved the concept. Making it happen was the hard part. Along the way we doubted whether this would be at all possible. Well, guess what? It is.

Absolut Mexico Limited Edition Release 2013 A Dr. Lakra Collaboration (75cl, 40%)

Absolut was thrilled to work with Jeronimo Lopez Ramirez, the contemporary artist and tattooist also known as Dr Lakra, to pay homage to Mexican culture and the country’s multicultural heritage.
Dr Lakra managed to breathe life into the spirit of Mexico through a design featuring threefundamental symbols of Mayan culture – the god Hurakan, as wind, storm and fire, Kukulkan,the feathered serpent deity and Balam the invincible jaguar warrior who illuminated the Earth during day and fought in the underworld at night.
The Absolut bottle served as a medium by which a contemporary artist has reintroduced ancestral symbols, fusioning the past and the now beautifully torepresent Mexico today.
Released in 2013, the new special edition Absolut Mexico is exclusive to the Mexican market. However, For this special edition, Absolut has collaborated with world-renowned Mexican artist Dr. Lakra. The result is a unique design that pays tribute to the rich history and culture of Mexico. The artist’s illustrations gracing the bottle represent three of the most important elements of the legendary Mayan culture: Balam The Jaguar, Kukulkan The Feathered Serpent and Hurakan God Of Wind, Worm and Fire.
The vodka inside this collector’s bottle is the original Absolut Vodka: a complex and pure vodka, made from all natural ingredients in Åhus, Sweden.

Designed by legendary mixologist Nick Strangeway, is set for professional bartender use only. The exclusive range – consisting of Herbaceous Lemon, Bitter Cherry and Smokey Tea – debutted in select bars in the UK, Sweden and the USA.
A different take on how we offered our limited editions, Absolut Craft was a product designed specifically for the global bartending community and made available exclusively to bartenders in select bars and restaurants around the world.
Developed in close partnership with mixology extraordinaire, Nick Strangeway, Absolut Craft comprised a small-batch of three unique flavors, painstakingly curated by Nick and our team over two years.
Herbaceous Lemon: made with a blend of lemon verbena, lemon thyme and lemon myrtle.
Smokey Tea: a gentle, smokey flavour that came from an infusion of Lapsang Souchong tea, hints of orange peel, cloves and ginger.
Bitter Cherry: an authentic cherry flavour, countered by notes of bitter, dark chocolate.
Matching these sophisticated new flavors, we gave the Absolut Craft bottles a subtle silver-grey metallic coating, inspired by Victorian medicine flasks.

One of the many wonderful limited edition presentations of Absolut Vodka – the Electrik bottlings are very shiny indeed, presented in a colbalt blue and a metallic silver.
The Electrik bottles are the 2015 end-of-the-year edition.
Absolut Electrik contains the same Swedish vodka as a bottle of Absolut Vodka. It is made exclusively from natural ingredients, and unlike some other vodkas, it doesn’t contain any added sugar. In fact, Absolut is as clean as vodka can be. Still, it has a certain taste: Rich, full-bodied and complex, yet smooth and mellow with a distinct character of grain, followed by a hint of dried fruit. All absolut is made in the same distillery, with wheat from the same fields, and water from our own deep well.
Absolut Electrik follows a celebrated tradition of introducing end of year limited editions featuring cutting-edge designs. The twin bottle release is available in electrik blue and silver, with semi-transparent coating creating see-through reflections. The two colors represent Absolut’s signature cobalt blue and the electrical conductivity of silver.
