Precisely.
For this limited edition we didn’t make one bottle design, but three. Visionary Swedish artist, Johan Renck, photographed supermodel, Lydia Hearst, as three different personas — Carter, Trojan and Dimitty — each persona designed to illustrate the multifaceted nature of every individual. And so began Absolut Exposure.
Constantly pushing ourselves to stay innovative and creative, we developed a ground-breaking technique allowing us to print photographs directly on to our famous glass bottle.
We didn’t stop with the outside of the bottle. A new-generation flavor crafted with honey melon and lemongrass rounded off this limited edition.
Revealed at the world-famous New York New York restaurant in Cannes, The Absolut Exposure trilogy was available exclusively to travellers throughout the global duty free/travel retail market.
For Absolut Exposure, three was the magic number.
A 100 Proof (50% abv) bottling of Smirnoff’s classic and best-known Recipe No. 57 (as opposed to the 100 Proof Smirnoff Blue Export Strength, which is Recipe No. 57).
A limited-edition Pride vodka from Crystal Head, created to celebrate diversity and equality and support the LGBTQ+ community. The vodka is made with locally-sourced Canadian corn, distilled four times creating a smooth palate with notes of vanilla and caramel.
Since wild raspberries are often found in the Swedish hillsides, nothing could be more natural than introducing Absolut Raspberri. And so it was, in 2004, 25 years after the introduction of Absolut Vodka.
The story behind the name Absolut Kurant is black currant, a typical Swedish berry from which the flavor is taken. When launched in 1992 it was a tribute to the Swedish origin of Absolut Vodka. Originally it was even supposed to be called Absolut Vinbär since the Swedish word for black currant is vinbär. Only thing was that the English pronunciation would have been wine bar.
Blackcurrant. This sweet berry ripens in July – just as Swedes take their well-deserved vacation after having survived yet another long, cold and dark winter. Grown in your typical Swede’s country house backyard and in the wild, black currant is close to our heart for many reasons. This is our tribute to it. Skål!
A citrus flavoured Swedish vodka, Absolut Citron is flavoured with lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit.
Absolut Apeach was introduced in 2005. It soon found its following around the world, both in Asia where the peach fruit is originally from, and in Sweden where Absolut is from. (By the way, Absolut also found some devotees in the countries in between).

The new ABSOLUT Pop Up brings vodka in an exclusive white box, stamped with the shape of the bottle, considered today a world icon. When the box is opened, it transforms into a creative and charming mini bar with spaces to accommodate fruits and other ingredients for creating drinks anywhere, including on the beach, allowing for unusual parties
After the Absolut Blank campaign, where 20 artists had complete creative freedom to redesign the iconic bottle shape, we were able to continue the campaign through Mario Wagner and his space-inspired artwork.
Wagner’s design’s visual language is based on the 1960s – an era characterized by the race to the moon and the legendary moon landing. To ensure visual continuity, he used some elements that were also part of his designs for the Absolut Blank campaign.
Continuing this campaign with such a custom bottle was honestly not part of the original plan – but when a project evolves into something new, why on earth would we hold back on a space-themed limited edition?

Since the early 90’s, we have had the privilege of collaborating with fashion designers such asTom Ford and Versace, Stella McCartney and Gaultier. With Absolut Mode, we wanted to further strengthen our commitment to the world of fashion and reflect its diversity by launching this twelve facet bottle in collaboration with three leading names from the contemporary fashion scene.
The campaign, featuring supermodel Shannan Click, was shot by renowned fashion photographer Sharif Hamza. To celebrate the launch of Absolut Mode Edition, we also collaborated with leading fashion designerGareth Pugh, who dressed the bottle in an amazing outfit.
To capture the unique bottle design that is wrapped with a band in midnight blue silk cloth with text embroidery, Sharif Hamza built a large version of the bottle with mirror facets. He placed supermodel Shannan Click within the bottle and dressed her in midnight blue creation. The shoot resulted in one of the most fashionable campaigns Absolut has ever made.
Gareth Pugh’s reflection of fashion is showcased through a unique handmade bottle collar, which sits perfectly on the bottle. Inspired by the “Stealth Bomber” arms from his Spring/Summer 2007 show, Pugh’s bottle collar enhances the silhouette of Absolut Mode, while simultaneously capturing the essence of Pugh’s impressive work.
A special release of Absolut, combining a litre of their crisp Swedish vodka with a limited edition bottle. The bottle is faceted to reflect light and the label is made out of fabric, in honour of the fashion industry.
To celebrate the very best of Rio de Janeiro, Absolut collaborated with the visionary Brazilian designer Oskar Metsavaht to transform the bottle by paying tribute to the essence and exceptional nature of the people of Rio de Janeiro, the ‘cariocas’.
Metsavaht took his inspiration from his own photos of Ipanema and brought it to the world of Absolut, adding the typical carioca elements such as sand, the sidewalk of Ipanema and the Dois Irmãos Mountain.
The exceptional taste of Absolut Rio includes a combination of tropical fruits – orange, mango and passion fruit.
