Macallan 18 Year Old Single Malt 1994 Special Box Release Original Box
Macallan vintage releases produced by Campbell, Hope & King tended to be aged around the 15 year old mark, but when Macallan took over the responsibility in 1980, they toyed for a few releases with more advanced age-statements of 17 and 18 years old. The latter was deemed the optimum maturation, and the official 18 year old was launched in 1984. It is now an absolute classic of the whisky world. This is the release of Macallan 18 Year Old that carried a vintage. In this case, the whiskies were distilled in 1994 and earlier years.
The famous Macallan 18 year old no longer carries the vintage that the spirit was originally distilled in. This is the final release carrying that year.

Macallan Travel Series 1950s Decades Fifties (50cl, 40%)
This bottle was created to mirror the style of Macallan from the 1950s, which is described as being of ‘intriguing depth’ and with a subtle hint of peat.
Part of a series launched for the Travel Retail market by Macallan in the late 1990s/early 2000s, this expression was created to reflect the flavours of their whiskies produced in the 1940s. A creamier, more bourbon-cask-influenced Macallan than the heavily-Sherried Macallan you’ll likely be familiar with, and with a particularly pronounced peaty hint.

Aberlour 6 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 48.7%)
This six-year-old single malt from Aberlour joins the Darkness collection, meaning you can expect plenty of sherry cask goodness here. This one finished its time maturing in an oloroso sherry octave. The small size of the cask ensures greater interaction between the whisky and the wood, and this single malt is brimming with notes of burnt sugar and cream, sweet spice, and candied nuts.
Aultmore 10 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 53.8%)
We do love a well sherried Aultmore, and this one makes an excellent addition to the collection from indie bottler Darkness! Matured for 10 years, the whisky was finished in a custom-made octave cask that previously held oloroso sherry. It’s a hugely characterful sipper, brimming with oily nuts, dried fruit, roasted coffee, and biscuity malt.
Aberlour 6 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 49%)
Another delicious six-year-old Aberlour single malt joins the Darkness range, and this one was drawn from a custom-made octave cask that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. Prepare for rich layers of floral honey, nutty malt, and creamy chocolate here.
Linkwood 14 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 56%)
Well sherried Linkwood alert! This single malt was bottled up by Darkness after 14 years of maturation, including a stay in a custom-made oloroso sherry octave. Bottled at a robust 56% ABV, it’s laden with notes of berries and currants, dried fruit, and sweet spice.
Craigellachie 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 62%)
Hailing from the Craigellachie distillery, this single malt spent a dozen years maturing, including a finish in an oloroso sherry octave cask. Octave casks are smaller, thus allowing more interaction between whisky and wood for the time that they are full. They’re the cask of choice for Darkness, ensuring the intensely sherried character for which its range is renowned.
Strathisla 15 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 55.3%)
This single malt from Strathisla joins the Darkness collection. Matured for 15 years, the whisky finished up in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave, custom-made for the indie bottler. It’s a decadent sipper, with generous helpings of dark fruits and chocolate, coffee, and spice.
Dailuaine 12 Year Old Palo Cortado Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 57.2%)
This Dailuaine single malt joins the Darkness range, after finishing its 12-year maturation in a custom-made palo cortado sherry octave. It boasts a brilliant balance of oily malt, sweet dried fruits, and savoury malt.
Christmas Cake & Dark Chocolate & Medjool Dates & Cinnamon 12 Year Old Whisky (70cl, 57.8%)
Festive flavours like Christmas cake, dark chocolate, medjool dates, and cinnamon are the name of the game here. And by “name of the game”, we of course mean that Christmas Cake & Dark Chocolate & Medjool Dates & Cinnamon is literally the name of this whisky. What we’ve got is a superb Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, aged for eight years and boasting a sleighful of Yuletide elements, perfect for enjoying… Well, yeah, it’ll obviously be brilliant at Christmas, and any whisky fan will be thrilled to find a bottle under the tree with their name on it. It’ll probably be great any time of year if you’re a lover of sherried single malt, thinking about it, but it does have that little bit of holly on the label, so, y’know, Christmas and that.
