Developed by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2006, the Smokehead is an intensely peaty range of single malts from undisclosed distilleries. Since its first release in 2006, there have now been many extensions of the brand, including the 2012 Smokehead Rock Edition as a limited release designed to ‘celebrate its credentials as the rock ‘n’ roll spirit of choice’. In 2009 the brand began a long association with the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards, as well as the Marshall Ultimate Band Contest.
