Balvenie Signature 12 Year Old Batch 001 (70cl, 40%)
This 12 year old Balvenie was released in 2008 and was launched to replace the 10 year old Founders Reserve. This bottling was aged in first fill bourbon barrels and refill casks and sherry butts. This is from the first batch released!
The Signature is a small batch series released to celebrate Master Distiller, Dave Stewart’s 45th year in the whisky industry.
This is the first batch of the Signature, which David Stewart crafted to mark his 45th year in the whisky industry. Matured in the three most traditional cask types: first fill bourbon, refill bourbon and sherry.
When it was launched in 2007, this was intended as a replacement for the Founder’s Reserve, which was discontinued two years later. The series only spanned five batches however, the last of these appearing in 2013.

Balvenie 25 Year Old DoubleWood 25th Anniversary (70cl, 43%)
A special, limited edition 25 year old expression of the iconic Balvenie DoubleWood. This whisky was released in 2018 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the DoubleWood 12 Year Old.
2018 marks the 25th anniversary of The Balvenie DoubleWood, and so to celebrate we are looking back at its journey.
Just as DoubleWood pairs two woods, we have brought together pairings of our own for a celebratory dram. In each film our distillery brand ambassador David Mair sits down with a familiar face from the DoubleWood’s history, to look back at the last 25 years and forward to the future. Our first guest is David Stewart MBE, Balvenie malt master and the DoubleWood’s creator, who discusses his fond Balvenie memories. Next we sat down with head cooper Ian McDonald, who after nearly half a century at the distillery has more than a story or two to share. Finally, we look towards the future with Kelsey McKechnie as she embarks on her malt master apprenticeship under David Stewart.
A Double wood edition from Balvenie and aged for 12 years, being transferred between traditional oak casks and first filled European oak sherry casks. It was a winner at the 2012 IWSC taking gold in the whiskey scotch category. Presented in a wonderful handmade wooden gift tube.

Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength (70cl, 54.2%)
Glen Scotia’s Victoriana sees the Campbeltown distillery’s single malt drawn from casks with a particularly heavy char profile, imparting plenty of rich, roasty-toasty notes. This, however, is the Victoriana Cask Strength expression. It’s obvious what the difference here is – it’s bottled at cask strength, a robust 54.2% ABV, which helps bolster those aforementioned roasty-toasty notes.

Caol Ila 12 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (70cl, 45.8%)
Our first 70cl release from the Caol Ila distillery is a 12 Year Old, thats been finished in an ex-rum barrel, and why not? Maturation in rum casks will bring out the fruitier notes from this Islay whisky.
We’re expecting to get around 349 bottles at 45.8% abv.
For a long time Caol Ila was only available as a single malt by visiting the distillery or through independent bottlers. Initially made available via a release in the Flora and Fauna series, the first official releases came in 2002. Known for its peated style of malt (same ppm as Lagavulin) up to 30% of production is now unpeated.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company has been in the indie bottling biz for over a decade and has built up a cult following thanks to its exceptional liquids, and storytelling labels with artwork from Emily Chappell. Now it’s celebrating those labels with a collection of limited-edition whiskies, highlighting some of the favourite characters from past designs, and in full-sized 700ml bottles, rather than Boutique-y’s standard 500ml size! This single malt from Caol Ila matured for a total of 12 years, including a finish in a rum cask, ramping up the tropical fruits and creamy sweetness of the coastal malt at its core. The label features Prince Vultan, which Flash Gordon fans might recognise from the ’80s film, and keen-eyed Boutique-y fans will have seen hiding within the artwork for previous Caol Ila bottlings.
A release of 419 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire & Cask Strength 18 Year Old Batch 03 (70cl, 54.7%)
Aaaaaand what do we have here then? It’s another batch of brilliance from the ampersand clan! A senior member of the Seaweed & Aeons family, this heavily peated Highlander spent 18 years maturing before it was bottled up at cask strength – a robust 54.7% ABV. A generous portion of the whisky is sherry cask matured, imparting decadent layers of poached stone fruits and candied nuts to the dense, bold peat smoke and meaty malt at its core.
Arran Machrie Moor Peated Cask Strength (70cl, 56.2%)
A Peated single malt whisky from the isle of Arran, bottled at cask strength. Previous editions have been released in yearly batches, but in 2018, the Arran distillers decided that these whiskies had become so popular that they deserved to be a permanent part of the range! Ideal! This punchy expression is named after the mystical peat bog western side of the island – which is fitting, considering the plentiful peat notes running throughout.
Benromach Contrasts Peat Smoke (70cl, 46%)
smoky single malt here from Benromach and its Contrasts series. This expression was produced using heavily peated barley, and allowed to mature in first-fill bourbon barrels from 2009 to 2020, before being bottled up at 46% ABV. Smoky Speysiders aren’t all that common, but they are delicious indeed.
Ardbeg Spectacular (70cl, 46%)

Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 016 Bot.2022 (70cl, 58.5%)
Our Original Cask Strength is the purest way to experience the taste created by the land, sea and air of Islay. Aged 10 years, it’s barrier-filtered from the cask to remove unwanted char particles – and that’s all that comes between you and the real Laphroaig.
We don’t chill-filter our Original Cask Strength, and we don’t reduce its natural strength. So, what you pour is what we draw from the barrel — the heart of charred seasoned oak barrels, our blue peat smoke and nutty barley, in a truly natural experience.
Batch 16 is our most powerful expression within the Cask Strength family, characterised by a 58.5% proof point and notes of vanilla and sea salt intermingled with hints of freshly ground black pepper and pork crackling. A dram poured neat will fill the nose with aromas of sweet apples and caramelised pastry, underpinned with a tang of cereal and tanned leather notes. The finish, a mixture of gentle spice, charred oak and smoked mackerel with an oily mouthful.
Ardnamurchan AD/ Rum Cask Release 70cl, 55%

Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo (70cl, 46%)
Inspired by visits to Japan, Glenmorangie’s director of distilling and whisky creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden, decided to create this pretty single malt you see before. Glenmorangie’s A Tale Of Tokyo is the fourth release in the ‘Tale of’ series and the first one to be partially aged in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It’s actually a marriage of whisky aged in both sherry and bourbon barrels as well as Glenmorangie whisky aged in the rare Japanese wood. It was all bottled together at 46% ABV and sports a label and packaging made in collaboration with celebrated Japanese artist, Yamaguchi Akira. It’s their perspective of the city’s contrasts and layers of history and culture that inspired the design.
GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Grattamacco Wine Cask Finish (70cl, 48%)
To craft The GlenAllachie Wine Series, we first expertly matured our spirit in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels. Subsequently, the whisky underwent additional maturation for over two years in wine barriques skilfully sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker, imparting a distinctive twist onto the GlenAllachie spirit.
The second winery established in Tuscany’s renowned Bolgheri area, The Grattamacco Estate produces wines with a signature style of elegance. Complementing our fruit-forward Speyside spirit, maturation in these barriques have created a palate rich with juicy blackcurrant and sweet tannins. Truly embodying the complexities of the red wine previously held in each cask, the resulting whisky offers up honeyed elegance with a well-balanced finish.
This expression is bottled unchilfiltered for flavour with no added colouring at 48% ABV.
Balvenie 1989 Port Wood Finish (70cl, 40%)
While the Berlin wall was being taken down, Balvenie was distilling this beauty. Aged first in American oak and finished in port casks, this vintage release is on the lighter side of Balvenie. All Balvenie’s characteristics are here, with notes of caramel, vanilla and honey. The tannins from the port cask add some nice grip to it.

An impressive addition to The Balvenie Stories Range, A Rare Discovery From Distant Shores celebrates the friendship and collaboration between different spirits producers. Matured for 27 years, this single malt spent its final seven years finishing in ex-Caroni rum casks, which ought to be pretty exciting for fans of the long-closed Trinidadian distillery. We all know how well Balvenie’s whisky does in a rum cask, and these rare barrels found their way to the distillery thanks to a meeting between its head distiller David Stewart and John Barrett of legendary rum bottler, Bristol Spirits. What a serendipitous meeting that was, celebrated in the form of this magnificent whisky.

Macallan 1861 Replica (70cl, 42.7%)
Macallan 1861 Replica
Released in 2002, this replica bottling was created to mimic a bottle of Macallan purportedly produced in 1861. It is one of four releases that also include replicas of bottles from 1841, 1874 and 1876.
The purpose of this series was to re-create the four antique expressions of Macallan in terms of bottle and label design, as well as to be an accurate re-creation of the whisky’s nose and flavour. Several years after these replicas were released, it transpired that many of these bottles (which were purchased by Macallan) turned out to be fake. This release was one of those.
Despite this controversy, the collectability of these releases has only increased.

Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Experimental Series Winter Storm (70cl, 43%)
For our third experiment, Malt Master Brian Kinsman travelled to Canada to meet a renowned winemaker in Niagara. There he learned how the grapes had to be picked by moonlight at -10˚C to produce the intensely sweet Icewine. Upon his return to the Glenfiddich Distillery Brian started experimenting with several French oak Icewine casks from the Canadian winery, filling them with different Glenfiddich aged malts for up to six months. Only the rarer whiskies, those aged for 21 years, could cope with the extra Icewine intensity. The taste is a perfect combination of both pioneering liquids, the heightened candied sweets and oakiness of Glenfiddich are complemented by mouth-watering tropical fruit notes and a luscious sweetness from the unique Icewine cask finish. First released in October 2017, the long-awaited second batch is now available.
The third release in their experimental series utilises French Oak “Ice Wine” casks from the freezing vineyards of the renowned Peller Estates winery near Niagara, Canada.

Introduced in 1997, the 25 year old was bottled at a variety of cask strengths until the core range was revamped in 2006, when it received a permanent ABV of 48.1%. A new expression with a lower strength was introduced in 2013 before another rebranding of the core range saw the 25 year old become a batch release again in 2019.
The remarkable complexity of our 25 YEAR OLD single malt whisky owes a great deal to its maturation in a high proportion of the finest quality first-fill Sherry seasoned European oak casks.
STORY
The casks impart an astonishing flavour to the whisky as it matures – at once dark and full bodied with a rich and nutty spiciness, yet brimming with sweet dried fruits, cinder toffee and soft fudge. 25 years encased in oak has not only created a whisky with impressive depths, but time has delivered a vibrant sweetness too. Renowned whisky writer F. Paul Pacult named it Best Spirit in the World in the 2013 Spirit Journal – an accolade of which we are particularly (but typically quietly) proud.
