A collaboration with renowned pastry chef Jordi Roca of three Michelin star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, this release brings the worlds of chocolate and whisky to life. To create the first limited edition whisky in a new annual release series, The Macallan Whisky Maker Polly Logan embarked on a unique journey to Girona, Spain, where she immersed herself in the world of chocolate, exploring the chocolate-making process and uncovering the distinctive flavour profiles at Casa Cacao.
Polly worked with Jordi Roca, owner of the famed chocolate boutique and hotel, Casa Cacao and the youngest of the acclaimed Roca brothers. As part of the exploration, she also spent time with master chocolatier of Casa Cacao, Damien Allsop.
In homage to its chocolate influence, The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao is presented in a 100% recyclable gift box, made using discarded husks from cacao pods.
A by-product in the chocolate-making process, these husks would have been sent to landfill or destroyed but have now been reborn with a renewed purpose.

The fourth release in the Edition Series, a range of whiskies that focuses on The Macallan’s commitment to wood, the Edition No. 4 was aged in a combination of seven different cask types. The third release in The Macallan’s wood-focused Edition series saw master perfumer Roja Dove and master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno create a whisky using their very particular sets of skills. Dove pinned down the flavour profile for Edition No. 3 by using the same formula he would for a perfume: pinpointing complementary aromas, and balancing these with a “counterpoint” note. The resulting liquid is a combination of six American and European oak casks, with deliciously sweet, floral notes up front.
This is a collaboration between Bob Dalgarno and Master Perfumer, Roja Dove.

Released in 2019, The Macallan Estate is an intriguing expression that contains spirit distilled from barley grown on Macallan’s very own Easter Elchies estate. Hence the name. Growing on the banks of the River Spey, this barley is only distilled over the course of one week each year. Glenallachie distillery was built by Mackinlays in 1967 to meet the demands of its blends following an upturn in sales in the US. In its short history it has passed through the hands of Invergordon Distillers and Pernod-Ricard. During this period the focus was always on the provision of blends, with over 20 years between the first Mackinlay’s distillery bottlings of its single malt and the next official release from Chivas Brothers in 2005. Now in the hands of Billy Walker and being pushed as a single malt brand since 2017, prior to this, the only real opportunity to try Glenallachie was through sought after independent bottlings like this.
Old Particular is Douglas Laing’s flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing. Xtra Old Particular is the premium version of the brand, and is reserved for casks the company considers the Laing “family jewels.”
This Glenallachie was distilled in March 1995 and aged in a single refill hogshead until being bottled in April 2020.

The whisky itself was initially matured in first-fill American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, before the spirit was divided between first-fill bourbon barrels and also Tawny Port pipes from the Douro region of Portugal.
After an extended maturation period, the two are then reunited back into first-fill bourbon casks to harmonise.

A rather stunning well-sherried single malt from GlenDronach. Distilled in 1993, the whisky was laid to rest in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. Macallan Concept No. 2 is a no-age-statement single malt from the Speyside distillery matured in Sherry-seasoned American oak casks.
Whisky maker Steven Bremner used his passions for blending malts and mixing house music as his inspiration for the release.
He said: ‘Music has inspired many aspects of my life, both creatively and practically, as has whisky, so the creation of Concept Number 2 allowed me to look at my two passions through a different lens.
‘Creating a track and crafting a single malt can take a similar path. Beginning with the layering of sounds just like the layering of different flavours from specific cask types.
‘Each different cask brings its own influence to the character of the liquid, like each instrument, or sound, adds depth to a track. In both cases, we can alter each different element to play up or down particular sounds or flavours.’

Springbank Local Barley 10yo 2021 700ml
This is one of a select number of releases produced using malted barley harvested from neighbouring farms in the Campbeltown area. They were first introduced in the late 1990s, and were eventually re-named as the Local Barley series in the 2000s.
This is the 2021 release of the mid-2010s revival of the Local Barley range. Originally intended to be a 5 part series, which would have made this the last, but this is instead now being marketed as an annual release.
Distilled in May 2011 and bottled in December 2021, the ‘local barley’ comes from the varietal, Belgravia, and was grown in Campbeltown at the Glencraigs Farm.
Limited to only 15000 bottles.
This Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled from barley grown on the Kintyre Peninsula within a few miles of Springbank. The barley is then malted on our own malt floors using traditional production techniques before it is turned into spirit, matured into whisky and bottled on-site, making this a 100% Campbeltown Single Malt.”
The 2021-release of Springbank’s annual Local Barley 10 Year Old single malt has been made with Belgravia barley from Glencraigs Farm near Campbeltown. Aromas of digestive biscuits, summer flowers, rich malt, vanilla custard, custard cream biscuits and vibrant cherry fill the nose, complemented by notes of Victoria sponge, honey, sweet barley, sticky syrup and salted caramel throughout the palate.

Following its marrying period, it was bottled up at 52.4% ABV.

A 25-year-old Arran single malt, released in Arran’s 25th year of production, this whisky has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for a quarter of a century. Aromas of rich oak spice, nutmeg, baked figs, sultanas and black cherries fill the nose. The palate offers notes of fruit cake, toasted almonds, cinnamon, orange zest, honey and apricots that linger in the finish.
25 year old single malt from the Arran Distillery, located on the island which shares its name. Launched in 2020, the 25th year of Arran’s production, this expression was aged in a combination of 35% ex-sherry and 65% ex-bourbon casks, and it was all allowed 12 months of maturation in first-fill and refill sherry hogsheads before bottling. The fourth release in the Glenlivet mystery range where no cask information or tasting notes are given. Consumers have to try and solve the puzzle by guessing tasting notes in the form of a crossword. The Enigma was exclusive to the US market.
The Glenlivet is launching a fourth edition in its mystery series of whiskies, released without any information aside from its abv.
The Glenlivet Enigma is a single malt Scotch whisky presented in a matte black bottle at 60.6% abv.
All other information is kept a secret, however buyers can ‘unlock’ tasting cues by solving a digital crossword puzzle.
The Glenlivet Enigma is the fourth expression in the Speyside distillery’s mystery series.
The first, Alpha, was revealed in 2013, and followed by Cipher in 2016 and Code in 2018.
The Glenlivet Enigma will be a US exclusive, available to purchase from 10 July
‘By challenging consumers to guess the mystery liquid’s taste, feel and finish – and then put that to the test with an interactive digital crossword puzzle – Enigma offers a vehicle for us to engage with a variety of consumers in a way that’s reimagining Scotch whisky tropes.’

In the making of The Balvenie IslayCask, David Stewart selected Balvenie single malt which had matured in traditional oak casks for at least 17 years and transferred it into 94 casks which had previously held Islay single malt. After six months he felt the casks had imparted the desired delicate amount of peaty notes, typical of Islay, whilst retaining the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie. The Balvenie IslayCask was bottled in 2001 and the late Michael Jackson, world renowned whisky expert and author of The Malt Whisky Companion, wrote the following about it:

A 2003 single malt from the second release in the annual Dalmore Vintages series, combining the very finest casks from 2003 to create a rich, sweet limited-edition whisky. Beginning its journey in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, it was then transferred into a combination of Rivesaltes sweet wine casks, Matusalem and Amoroso sherry casks, and bourbon barrels, before being married together and bottled in 2022. Aromas of Manuka honey and vanilla pods mingle with sticky toffee on the nose, complemented by notes of maple syrup, baking spices, plums, blackberries, English marmalade and honey throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.

A 1989 vintage official bottling of Springbank. The distillery uses a wide range of woods in the maturation and this one comes from port pipes. This was distilled in the year full scale production restarted after a decade hiatus.
