Famous Grouse Family Mini Set Snow Grouse, Black Grouse and Famous Grouse(3 x 5cl, 40cl)
The Snow Grouse
Like the hardy ptarmigan or the snow grouse as it is known in the Scottish Highlands, this Scotch is perfectly at home in severely cold conditions. Try it neat after it has been exposed to a short spell in the Arctic conditions of your freezer.
The Famous Grouse
Serve a measure of The Famous Grouse in a large tumbler. Add water to taste.
The Black Grouse
A timely innovation from Famous Grouse – this blend is based on peated Islay malts, and promises ‘reassuring smoothness with aromatic, peaty flavours’.
Royal Salute 21 Year Old Emerald Flagon Sample (2cl, 40%)
Royal Salute 21 Year is an homage by Chivas Regal to the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. At 21 years, it is also the youngest in the Royal Salute line-up. Why 21 years old you might ask? 21 is an important designation as it refers to the 21-gun-salute, for generations a form of honor and respect to sovereigns and dignitaries. Be aware that there are 3 different colors for the ceramic decanters (sapphire, ruby, and emerald), but the spirit is the same.

A dynamic interpretation of our Johnnie Walker Green Label crafted using only Single Malt Whiskies from each of the four corners of Scotland. Johnnie Walker Island Green has all the character of a single malt, but with a richer flavour experience – combining notes of rich toffee, fresh black pepper. The maritime malt whisky Caol Ila provides the greatest influence in this stunning combination of smoke, sweetness and spice.

A VSOP from Hine. H is a blend of around over a dozen Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie with the youngest in the blend being aged for at least 4 years.
Hine Rare VSOP Cognac Sample (2cl, 40%)
Hine Rare VSOP is a blend of Grande and Petite Champagnes (60% is the former). This is what’s known as a Fine Champagne. The cognac is aged from between 6 and 12 years, with most being around 8 years old. It is a stunning cognac with an excellent delivery. It was first blended by the eponymous Thomas Hine.
Isle of Jura 10 Year Old Sample (2cl, 40%)
Part of the new core range of whiskies launched by Isle of Jura in early 2018, this 10 year old expression takes the place of Jura Origin. It’s initially aged in American white oak bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 40% ABV. It has the subtle smoke characteristic of Jura’s excellent Island single malts, with robust vanilla and an intense kick of sherried sweetness underneath.
Isle Of Jura Journey Sample (2cl, 40%)
Journey is the entry level expression from the Isle of Jura range (which was relaunched in mid-2018). It was aged exclusively in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40% ABV. A tasty introduction to Jura’s single malts.
Amrut Single Malt Whisky Sample (2cl, 46%)
Distilled from barley grown at the North West of India. Amrut mature their single malt in New American Oak and ex-bourbon before bottling.
Cutty Black 100 Proof Sample (2cl, 50%)
Undoubtedly anything but a classic whiskey, already on the nose can be seen that you can expect here neither a single malt nor a boring standard blend. As a liquorice friend who appreciates sweet, sticky liquorice liquor almost 😉 as well as a beautiful Irishman or a hefty sweet Scot, I recognize the best of both worlds here. As a whiskey, I would give the Cutty Sark Black no 30 points, but he is too little “pure”, too little deep, not enough aromatic. As an alcoholic liquorice drink, however, the 77 points that I simply give out here are more than just earned.
Kinahan’s Small Batch Irish Whiskey Sample (2cl, 46%)
A blended Irish whiskey here from the Kinahan’s range, which was originally established all the way back in 1779! Over the years Kinahan’s received two royal warrants and became the whiskey of choice for legendary American bartender Jerry Thomas. It disappeared during the 1900s, however, but it’s recently been relaunched on the very same street in Dublin where it was founded all the way back then – Trinity Street.
Penderyn Legend Sample (2cl, 41%)
Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt whisky firstly matured in bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira casks before it’s bottled, imparting an intriguing touch of vibrant sweetness. It has been bottled at 41% ABV, slightly lower than the Welsh distillers’ other Madeira-cask-finished single malt.
Penderyn Myth Sample (2cl, 41%)
Single malt whisky from the Penderyn distillery of Wales, which has been fully-matured in ex-bourbon casks. Should make for a great tasting partner with Penderyn’s Legend single malt, which is matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in ex-Madeira casks. Myth & Legend – get it?
Penderyn Celt Sample (2cl, 41%)
A 2015 addition to the Penderyn range of Welsh single malt whiskies! This is the Penderyn Celt, which enjoys a finishing period in peated casks, resulting in a subtle, elegant wisp of smoky peat coming through…
Glenlivet 12 Year Old First Fill 2018 Sample (2cl, 40%)
Pierre Ferrand Renegade Barrel No.2 Sample (2cl, 47.1%)
The second release from Pierre Ferrand’s Renegade Barrel. This time the spirit has been in initially aged in traditional oak barrels, before being moved over to barrels made from chestnut wood!
Pierre Ferrand Renegade Barrel is a rare example of double-matured spirit from the Cognac region. Because it is aged in a combination of classic oak casks and chestnut-wood barrels, rather than just oak, this rich and softly sweet eau-de-vie de vin can’t be called ‘Cognac’.
Plantation Multi Island XO Sample (2cl, 40%)
The Multi Island XO is a blend of rums from West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, which Plantation now owns, and Long Pond and Clarendon Distilleries in Jamaica, both of which they partially own. This allows them more creative control over the whole process than they have with their releases from other distilleries, from the recipe (or “marque”) to the aging. This particular blend is very full bodied, with a hint of that classic Jamaican fruit and funk element, some white pepper and tobacco, and a nice crisp sweetness imparted by the finish in barrels that previously held Coteaux du Layon, a lightly sweet French white wine.
