Bringing together the Macallan Edition Complete Set Collection Case it is very rare  No. 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 and 6 in the annual limited edition series Complete Set Collection case.

A showcase of select casks producing a taste with their own individual characteristics.

This is the complete set of the Edition series which came to an end in Autumn 2020.

  • Macallan Edition No.1 – A Taiwan and American exclusive, this is the first ‘Edition’ release which has been matured in 58% Butts, 23% Hogsheads and 19% Puncheons. 48%
  • Macallan Edition No.2 – The second release is a collaboration between Bob Dalgarno and the Roca Brothers who run the world famous El Celler De Can Roca Restaurant in Catalonia, Spain. 48.2%
  • Macallan Edition No.3 – Released in 2017, this third edition has been created in conjunction with Roja Dove, a highly respected ‘nose’ in the perfume industry. No. 3 is a blend of 3 types of cask bottled at 48.3%
  • Macallan Edition No.4 – The 2018 release  was intended to celebrate the design and craftsmanship involved in the new Macallan distillery which opened that year. Packaged in green to evoke the turf covered roof of the spectacular new site. 48.4%
  • Macallan Edition No.5 – Released in 2019, Edition No.5 was a collaboration with the Pantone Color Intitute and celebrated the natural colour of Macallan. 48.5%
  • Macallan Edition No.6 – The final edition takes inspiration from the landscape around the distillery. The liquid has been matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned casks – a select combination of first and second fill American and European Oak. 48.6%

Every gram of the botanicals used to make this gin was sent into near-space (over 24km) and exposed to an air pressure of less than 1/100th of that at sea level! That’s seriously low. In fact, if you were to find yourself above just 18km, also known as Armstong’s limit (where the pressure has already dropped to around 6.3 kPa or 1/16th of that at sea level), then the fluids in your body would vaporise!

Juniper, Coriander, Camomile Flowers, Fresh Lemon Peel, Cardamom, Dried Bitter Orange Peel, Cinnamon, Cubeb Pepper, Liquorice Root and Angelica were used. Oh, and Moon Rock. Obviously. Once they returned to earth, we vacuum distilled them at room temperature (at a pressure nearer 1/10th of that at sea level, in case you were wondering) for freshness and elegance.

Made from locally grown organic sorghum and 68 medical herbs, Rong Tai He contains 100% natural ingredients and can only be produced in the town of Moutai in the Guizhou Province thanks to the town’s unique micro climate and rich micronutrients found in the water source from Chishui River.

The ancient distillery process takes a minimum of 5 years, during which the clear spirit goes through 9 rounds of steaming, 8 rounds of fermentation in stone brick pits and 7 separate distillation extractions before ageing in round ceramic pots till perfection.

The Saint-Vivant Armagnac has a rich tradition dating back to 1559, when Saint-Vivant de la Salle produced the first bottle. The famous bottle “twisted” reproduces the original bottles used by Saint Vivant. The house uses Saint Vivant wines selected exclusively from the region of Gascony. These wines are distilled in traditional copper stills, and the resulting alcohol is aged in oak casks. The cellar master of Saint Vivant then starts the complex process of mixing the various distillates aged in order to get the final blend that makes this brand one of the most respected Armagnac in the world.

A commonplace tipple of the ’20s, pineapple gin fell off the map and was lost to time for a while. That Boutique-y Gin Company have rescued it from that fate and given it a 21st century twist. Whole pineapples are roasted on a spit with Demerara sugar until they’re gloriously caramelised, and they’re then combined with a particularly bold gin, helping to cut through the sweet, toasty pineapple. It’s not a flavour combination that jumps to mind right away, but strawberries and balsamic vinegar is an absolutely astounding pairing that we don’t think gets nearly enough love. That Boutique-y Gin Company clearly agree and have proffered their own way to put the flavour combo in front of everybody’s eyes – by making Strawberry & Balsamico Gin! They have used a classically-styled base gin and given it the addition of fresh strawberries, strawberry and black pepper distillates and Aceto di Balsamico tradizionale di Modena DOP, which is aged between 12 and 25 years in casks made from chestnut, cherry, oak, mulberry, ash and juniper.
