A showcase of select casks producing a taste with their own individual characteristics.
This is the complete set of the Edition series which came to an end in Autumn 2020.
- Macallan Edition No.1 – A Taiwan and American exclusive, this is the first ‘Edition’ release which has been matured in 58% Butts, 23% Hogsheads and 19% Puncheons. 48%
- Macallan Edition No.2 – The second release is a collaboration between Bob Dalgarno and the Roca Brothers who run the world famous El Celler De Can Roca Restaurant in Catalonia, Spain. 48.2%
- Macallan Edition No.3 – Released in 2017, this third edition has been created in conjunction with Roja Dove, a highly respected ‘nose’ in the perfume industry. No. 3 is a blend of 3 types of cask bottled at 48.3%
- Macallan Edition No.4 – The 2018 release was intended to celebrate the design and craftsmanship involved in the new Macallan distillery which opened that year. Packaged in green to evoke the turf covered roof of the spectacular new site. 48.4%
- Macallan Edition No.5 – Released in 2019, Edition No.5 was a collaboration with the Pantone Color Intitute and celebrated the natural colour of Macallan. 48.5%
- Macallan Edition No.6 – The final edition takes inspiration from the landscape around the distillery. The liquid has been matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned casks – a select combination of first and second fill American and European Oak. 48.6%

The Macallan 12 Year Old Gran Reserva is one of the richest, darkest and most delicious 12 Year Olds to come out of the hugely famous Speyside distillery. The whisky was created to celebrate the expertise and mastery the distillery and their dedication to maturing their whisky in only the finest Oloroso sherry oak casks available. Expect deep and rich notes of sherried fruits, dark chocolate and a range of spices in this rare and collectable dram. The reflective surface enhances the idea of flavours blending– almost as if seamlessly merging together as one – with the soft focus echoing the long-lasting taste experience.
The whisky’s golden acorn natural colour is the focal point of the shot. Its rich tone and translucent glow has influenced the colour palette of the piece as a whole, with the soft caramels and browns and pops of red and green once more showcasing the depth of its flavour profile.

A beautiful, extremely limited edition Macallan released for travel retail, Oscuro is made with whisky from 1987 and 1997 and it’s sherried and incredibly rich.
This is the 2015 redesign of the packaging, now presented in the premium decanter style bottle first used for the Macallan Reflexion.
Dark, lusciously rich and satisfying. The Macallan Oscuro is drawn exclusively from oak casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry. An exceptionally high proportion of these are first fill, which endow the whisky with a rich, deep Burnished copper colour and intense flavour. When the casks are at the peak of maturation, the whisky is gently reduced to 46.5% alcohol by volume with natural spring water drawn from boreholes deep under The Macallan Estate. It is then matured in slumbering casks for at least six months, allowing the flavours to blend. It undergoes no further strength reduction and is filtered non-chill at ambient room temperature before being bottled.
