An exotic single malt from Jura that was initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks. The Sound is the entry level expression from Isle of Jura’s Travel Retail range, all of which feature whisky finished in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry of various ages. This particular single malt was finished in casks that matured 15 year old Pedro Ximénez sherry. Sadly, there isn’t a whisky in the range called The Fury to pair this with.

One of a series of five releases from Isle of Jura for the Travel Retail market. The Road is firstly matured in American oak casks, and is then moved over to casks that previously held 20 year old Pedro Ximénez sherry. Unlikely to have been named after the Cormac McCarthy book.
