Produced by C.S James & Sons and bottled for the National Choice, this set comes together to make a royal flush which is the best hand you can possibly get in the game of poker!
The Royal Flush collection comprises of 7 bottles plus the Joker, exclusively released for WhiskyClub.co and Whisky Aura by the independent bottler The National Choice. Selected by Tiger’s Finest Selection in Taiwan, only 75 sets have been released. Matured in sherry octave casks and bottled in 2021 at cask strength, the set comprises the following:
The following lot is for a complete set of a collaboration between The National Choice and Taiwan’s Tiger’s Finest Selection. This is a set of seven whiskies which celebrates the rarest hand in the game of poker, The Royal Flush.
Each card in a Royal Flush is represented and the set also includes a Joker.
Each one of these seven whiskies has been aged in a single ex-Sherry octave before being bottled at cask strength in March 2021. Each bottle is limited to just 75.

50 year old Glenglassaugh single malt. Goodness gracious. This was distilled in November 1965 and matured in a single hogshead until November 2016, when the distillery in the Highlands bottled it up as the oldest expression in their Rare Cask Release Batch 3. 285 bottles were produced.
It warrants saying again. 50 year old Glenglassaugh single malt. Goodness gracious indeed.

From Glenglassaugh’s third batch of Rare Cask Release expressions comes a 47 year old single malt finished in a single Pedro Ximenéz Sherry puncheon. Cask 2230 was filled all the way back in December 1968 and cracked open in November 2016, with 404 bottles produced. Batch 3 of the Glenglassaugh Rare Cask Release features whiskies all aged for at least 30 years. Blimey.

This may be the youngest bottling in Glenglassaugh’s Rare Cask Release Batch 3, but it’s by no means youthful – it’s 30 years old! It was distilled in February 1986 and bottled in October 2016 after a finishing period in a Pedro Ximenéz Sherry puncheon. 425 bottles were produced.

The Glen Garioch distillery may well be Scotland’s first licensed distillery. Varying dates are given as to the founding of the distillery, but all are predated by an article in the Aberdeen Journal on the 1st December 1785, which announced the first distillation of spirit at the site. This is OLD SCHOOL Glen Garioch, distilled in 1988, from when the distillery was floor malting their own malt, and using Highland peat. Dalmore 12 Years Old Sherry Cask Select combines Dalmore’s house style with a delicious sherry influence. The single malt first aged for 10 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. It was then finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from three historic cooperages in Jerez de la Frontera, creating a sweet and elegant character. The whisky has aromas of caramelised orange, ginger and sultanas, laced with honey. The palate brings dark chocolate and crushed almonds with a dusting of cinnamon. Flavours of sweet mangos, panna cotta and lemon sponge cake linger on the finish. This 2023 release has an updated purple design that catches the eye.
