In April 2022, the gang at Signatory deemed it good and ready for bottling, so they did just that, releasing this expression without any added colour, or chill-filtration, for the aptly named Un-Chillfiltered Collection.

Glenglassaugh 40 Year Old 70cl, 42.5%
A new 2013 release which marks a change for Glenglassaugh. The previous releases of their 40 year old have been single casks, but, from now on, they will be releasing a vatting of casks as an ongoing release. Presented in the same ‘teardrop’ shaped decanter as the 30yo, this has seen a lot of sherry-wood influence, so can be expected to be rich and flavoursome.

The Gladstone Axe American Oak (70cl, 41%)
The Gladstone Axe is a blend of Highland malt whiskies, selected from 14 different distilleries and matured in American oak. The label has a portrait of William Gladstone, posing with an axe, because as well as serving four terms as prime minister of the United Kingdom in the 1800s, he apparently had a passion for tree felling!
The Gladstone Axe The Black Axe (70cl, 41%)
The Black Axe is a blended malt from The Gladstone Axe, combining whiskies from the Highland and Islay regions of Scotland. There is a portrait of former prime minister of the United Kingdom, William Gladstone on the label, wielding an axe! It is said that in his spare time, he took great pleasure in cutting down trees.
Edradour 1999 21 Year Old Bordeaux Finish 70cl, 55.7%
An exceptionally rich, fruity expression of the Edradour distillery character – this long-aged Highlander was initially matured in ex-Bourbon hogsheads then racked into Bordeaux wine casks for a further eight years. It’s a full-bodied dram with intense notes of burnt orange, barley sugars and rosewater. A real treat for any fan of wine cask finished malt.
Edradour 10 Year Old (5cl, 40%)
Edradour is one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries and at the heart of the range, this 10 year old Eastern Highlander is a rather unique single malt, a decidedly rum-like dram with a thick mouthfeel. The distillery’s methods of production remain virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, and we can see why. If it ain’t broke and all that. This single malt’s decade of ageing was spent in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. This is one sherry monster and we love it.
GlenDronach 21 Year Old Parliament 2019 Release (70cl, 48%)
A 21 year old Glendronach released in 2011, and aged in a mix of sherry casks (Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximenez dessert sherry). The result is really very good indeed. Interestingly enough, this whisky has no political associations. It is, in fact, named “Parliament” after the collective term for a group of rooks – and there is a Parliament of Rooks living in the trees near GlenDronach…
