The Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition was named for the distillery’s sixth Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, as he was their first Malt Master to double-mature Glenfiddich whisky in two different casks. This expression was initially matured in traditional oak casks, but was then finished for a number of years in Sherry casks to further develop the flavours, bringing warming fruitcake and gingerbread notes to the table.

This is a 1990s release of the core-range Special Reserve, presented in the iconic triangular bottle, designed for the company in 1956 and first used for the Glenfiddich brand in 1961. Interestingly, despite being the world’s first single malt brand, “Pure Malt” was the preferred wording on the label of their flagship product until 2000.

A classic bottle of Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve from the 1980s , presented in a The Glenfiddich Tradition tin. This bottle of Pure Malt Whisky (it was the ’80s, that’s just what people called it back then, calm down) would make a fantastic collectible for the Glenfiddich fans out there.
