Heaven’s Door Straight Rye (70cl, 43%)
Here we have Heaven’s Door Straight Rye, created by Bob Dylan (yes, that exact Bob Dylan you’re thinking of) and Marc Bushala (founder of Angel’s Envy Bourbon) in a church in Tennessee. Interestingly, for their rye, they have chosen to finish the whiskey in toasted oak cigar barrels (they’re cigar shaped, they didn’t just have a load of cigars stashed in them) from Vosges in France! Very intrigued to see the impact this finishing period has had on the whiskey…
Heaven’s Door Tennessee Bourbon (70cl, 42%)
The Heaven’s Door range of whiskey have been created by Bob Dylan (yes, actual Bob Dylan, the legendary songwriter) and Marc Bushala (founder of Angel’s Envy Bourbon), made in a church in Tennessee. This expression is made with a mash bill featuring 30% “small grains”, and the spirit is allowed to age for at least 8 years in American oak barrels. The bottle features a design from Dylan’s own wrought ironwork, and the name is of course a reference to his song ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’.
Yellowstone Select Straight Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 46.5%)
From the Yellowstone range (owned by Limestone Branch, which was founded to bring back the glory that Yellowstone once held many moons ago) comes the Select Bourbon. Full-bodied, with a good kick of rye lurking around in the background.

This year’s bottle features the artwork of Kentucky native Jaime Corum. It’s titled “Dreams in Bloom” and shows three thoroughbreds racing neck-and-neck, surrounded by a spray of vivid spring flowers, including the iconic red roses.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof (1L, 58.4%)
Distilled at Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, it is has been blended using a combination of barrels which contained bourbon of ages between 6 – 12 years old. It has been bottled at a cask strength of 58.4% abv.

Michter’s US*1 Single Barrel Straight Rye 70cl, 42.4%
A straight rye whiskey from the Michter’s Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Every bottle of their excellent rye comes from a single barrel, highlighting the quality of their craft. A top choice for cocktails – we’re particularly interested in making a Sazerac with some of this!
Michter’s US*1 Small Batch Bourbon 70cl, 45.7%
This American whiskey from Michter’s Distiller in Louisville, Kentucky, is matured in barrels which had previously held bourbon. As such, this expression cannot be called bourbon, as bourbon needs to be matured in new American oak barrels – hence why it’s called whiskey instead. Slightly confusing legal nomenclature aside, it’s bloomin’ marvellous!
Cedar Ridge Rye Whiskey 70cl, 43%
Here is a rye whiskey from a distillery I am not at all familiar with. The Cedar Ridge Rye has a mashbill of 51 % malted rye, 34 % unmalted rye, 12 % corn, and 3 % malted barley.
The Cedar Ridge Distillery is located in Swisher, Iowa.
Knob Creek Rye (70cl, 50%)
The long-awaited UK release of Knob Creek Rye. Not as spicy as many ryes, this is a great in-between release, sitting between a high-rye bourbon and a pure rye to give the best of both worlds.

Woodford Reserve Holiday Release 2020 (70cl, 45.2%)
Hirst’s serene painting “Winter Slumber” captures the contrast between the warm, wooden interior of the historic warehouse at Woodford Reserve, and the stone exterior of the building. This snowy scene, recognizable to all guests who have visited Woodford Reserve over the last 24 years, celebrates the fact that whiskey ages year-around, regardless of weather.

Woodford Reserve is a superbly smooth, flavoursome bourbon, rich and full bodied with a sophisticated range of flavours. Excellent as a digestif after a rich meal.

Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon (70cl, 47%)
Elijah Craig has long been a favourite bourbon of many whiskey enthusiasts – to the point where their stocks of 12 year old bourbon have been under a lot of pressure. The producers made the decision to discontinue the 12 Year Old expression and create this expression to take its place. It manages to maintain the incredibly high quality that Elijah Craig is known for, including the delicious core of cooked apple drizzled in honey notes. This expression has been well received, taking home not one but two San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold medals!
Basil Hayden’s Bourbon (1L, 40%)
Basil Hayden’s Bourbon dates back to 1796, when master distiller Basil Hayden used a traditional corn base, but mixed in small grains with the mash. A Kentucky straight bourbon with plenty of rye at its core – plenty spicy, well balanced with herbal notes of peppermint and a touch of fruit.
Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old (70cl, 45.6%)
Bulleit Bourbon has become a firm favourite – and now you can sample it after it’s spent a decade in oak, too! The mash bill comprises 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley for a rich balance of creaminess and spice.
Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Wheat batch 0002 70cl, 45.2%
The Woodford Reserve team has gone and made its very own wheat whiskey! If you like your whiskeys to be wonderfully creamy with a good helping of fruity sweetness to them, you’ve come to the right place. This expression is made with a mash bill of 52% wheat, 20% malt, 20% corn and 8% rye, leading to a satisfying flavour profile that should do well sipped neat or in cocktails.

Sazerac Straight Rye (70cl, 45%)
Sazerac Straight Rye is named for the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, birthplace of the famous – and sublime – Sazerac cocktail. The Coffee House was acquired by Thomas H Handy, owner also of Peychaud’s Bitters. Originally, he sold bottles of the Sazerac cocktail, which was originally made with Cognac. Today, this glorious libation is produced at the Buffalo Trace distillery.
Templeton Rye 4 Year Old (70cl, 40%)
Templeton Rye whiskey is a spirit unlike any other an unmistakable rye whiskey. Templeton Rye is smooth and spicy with a clean finish. Originally made in Templeton, Iowa during the prohibition era as a way for farmers to supplement their income.
Thanks to its smooth finish, the American rye whiskey earned the nickname ‘The Good Stuff’.

Unusual also for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years. A must have Kentucky bourbon.
