The new 12 Year Old single malt will replace the 10 Year Old Tamdhu Sherry Cask as the future standard bottling.

This 21-year-old Tamdhu is richly sherried and full of character. Tamnavulin Double Cask was the first release from the distillery since the 1990s! Over the past 20 or so years, the distillery changed hands from Invergordon Distillers to Whyte & MacKay, closed a few years later and reopened in 2007. Much of its single malt output is used in blends, but a few casks of single malt would sneak out as indie bottlings to allow us a rare taste of Tamnavulin – but now they’ve got their very own expression! They initially mature it in American oak barrels before treating them to a finishing period in Sherry casks.

The whisky is initially aged in American oak barrels, but before it gets bottled, it enjoys a stay in French Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks, imparting a whole heap of warming dark fruit and sweet spice notes. We reckon this will make for an ace autumnal dram.
Single malt Scotch from the Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition range. Matured in American oak, Edition No.2 has then been finished in casks that previously held Spanish grenache, for some juicy red berry and mellow spice notes.

Back in the 1860s, Tanqueray creator Charles Tanqueray visited the orange groves of Spain and eventually produced a gin recipe based around the glory of Seville oranges. In early 2018, they released Tanqueray Sevilla Gin, inspired by the recipe written over 140 years ago! If you like your gin to be citrus-focussed and generally excellent, you’re in for a sun-soaked treat.
Officially re-launched in the beginning of 2013, Tanqueray’s limited edition Malacca is a sweet, spicy gin with increased levels of citrus. This is not dissimilar to some of the old-fashioned styles of Old Tom gin, and it works very well in cocktails.

Something different here from Tanqueray. This gin is flavoured with Rangpur limes, also known as a mandarin orange. These highly acidic fruits, actually orange in colour, impart a fresh, zesty zing to this refreshing gin. Roll on summer!
An exotic, world spanning botanical basket makes Tarquin’s Gin. Orris root from Morocco, green cardamom seeds from Guatemala, cinnamon from Madagascar and Devon violets from… Well, from the distiller’s garden in Cornwall.
Southwestern Distillery produce small batches of their artisan Tarquin’s Gin using their flame-fired copper pot still called Tamara, goddess of the Tamar. It’s then bottled by hand and sent off into the world, to spread the news that Cornwall is producing some fabulous gin.

A classic 10 year old Tawny port from top producers Taylor’s. This is a robust, delicious wine which pairs wonderfully with soft cheese or dishes made with almond or coffee.
This 1970 single harvest port is the seventh release in Taylor’s Very Old Single Harvest series, matured for five decades in seasoned oak casks. It offers notes of wood shavings, cigar leaf, balsam and citrus that develop into marzipan, walnut, rich coffee and dark fruits on the palate. Try pairing this port with crème brûlée or soft cheeses.
Another great, well-structured tawny port from Taylor’s. The extra ten years of aging from the standard 10 year old have produced a fine balanced port traditionally enjoyed as a dessert wine or at the end of the meal.
The house of Taylor Fladgate and Yeatman has produced another fine Tawny port here, with wonderful complexity gained from its 30 years in the wood.

A superb 17-year-old multi-column still rum from Trinidad Distillers Limited. Nowadays, rum in Trinidad is produced by one large-scale producer, but that wasn’t always the case. The story goes that the Fernandes brand was responsible for creating one of the most iconic bottlings of days gone by, from casks salvaged from a fire-damaged warehouse. Once the initial bottles ran out, the challenge of making more arose, so a number of different blending marques were used to recreate the correct profile. This right here is one of those blending marques, it’s a heavy-column rum that would likely have only been used in small amounts in the original blend, but here’s the opportunity to try it untouched, in all its long-aged glory, thanks to That Boutique-y Rum Company.

This right here is the fourth release in Teeling’s Renaissance Series, which celebrates the return of distilling in Dublin and Irish whiskey’s renaissance. It’s an 18 year old single malt whiskey, which has enjoyed a rather interesting finishing period – it spent 18 months resting in Pineau des Charentes casks! If you’re not familiar with it, Pineau des Charentes is a French fortified wine made with grape juice or must, blended with Cognac. It’s brilliantly vibrant and fruity, and those elements have made their way into this ace single malt!
Incredible 30 year old single malt Irish whiskey from that tremendous Teeling team! This astounding expression was distilled in 1991 and left initially to age in bourbon casks. After many moons, the whiskey was then married in Sauternes casks, imparting a glorious helping of bright, fruity sweetness to the spirit. A release of 4,000 bottles.

Templeton Rye whiskey is a spirit unlike any other an unmistakable rye whiskey. Templeton Rye is smooth and spicy with a clean finish. Originally made in Templeton, Iowa during the prohibition era as a way for farmers to supplement their income.
Thanks to its smooth finish, the American rye whiskey earned the nickname ‘The Good Stuff’.
Templeton Rye 6 Year is a full-flavored rye showing aromas of cherry, apple, and ginger spice. Upfront sweet flavors of honey lead into sweet baking spices, oak, and a touch of peppermint. The drinker is rewarded with a long smooth spicy finish.
From Trinidad’s Tencane distillery, this 14-year-old pot distilled rum joins the Cinema Series from That Boutique-y Rum Company. Distilled from pressed sugarcane juice, the rum originally matured in Trinidad and Tobago, before being transferred to Barbados, and finally ending up in the UK. A richly oaky, tannic sipper, balanced with plenty of jammy dried fruit tang.

The Chianti Classico wines of Tenuta di Nozzole are all made from Sangiovese grapes and differ from each other according to the barrels used in the aging step. Crafted in a small Mexican town, amidst the highest peaks of the Jalisco Highlands, every step of our tequila-making process is meticulously done to create delicious tequila that truly honors the land it comes from. Utilizing local businesses and practices allows us to create our sustainable ultra premium tequila.
Utilizing 100% brick oven roasting allows Teremana to bring out the bright citrus flavors of our highlands agave. This traditional process takes time. We roast for 3 days before shredding our agave to extract the juices for fermentation. We use the left over agave fibers for organic compost for the agave fields.
After our open tank fermenting process, Teremana is then distilled using our handmade copper pot stills. These stills were made by a local artisan on the premises of the distillery. The nature of the handmade copper stills not only harkens back to the days of traditional tequila making processes, but also produces a cleaner, smoother tequila.

Crafted in a small Mexican town, amidst the highest peaks of the Jalisco Highlands, every step of our tequila-making process is meticulously done to create delicious tequila that truly honors the land it comes from. Utilizing local businesses and practices allows us to create our sustainable ultra premium tequila.
Utilizing 100% brick oven roasting allows Teremana to bring out the bright citrus flavors of our highlands agave. This traditional process takes time. We roast for 3 days before shredding our agave to extract the juices for fermentation. We use the left over agave fibers for organic compost for the agave fields.
After our open tank fermenting process, Teremana is then distilled using our handmade copper pot stills. These stills were made by a local artisan on the premises of the distillery. The nature of the handmade copper stills not only harkens back to the days of traditional tequila making processes, but also produces a cleaner, smoother tequila.
Teremana was developed by Siete Bucks Spirits, led by its founder Johnson and co-founders Dany Garcia, Jenna Fagnan and Ken Austin.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby red. This is based on reviewed Terre di Chieti Primitivo examples describing bright ruby or intense ruby colour.
Nose: Ripe plum, black cherry and morello cherry, with cocoa, dark chocolate and sweet spice. This is based on reviewed tasting descriptions for current Terre di Chieti Primitivo examples.
Palate: Warm, dry and fruit-driven, with cherry jam, plum compote, soft texture and ripe tannins. This is based on reviewed market examples describing the style as warm, silky and appropriately tannic.
Finish: Smooth, gently spiced and persistent, with lingering ripe red fruit. This is an inference based on the reviewed palate descriptions and overall style of current Terre di Chieti Primitivo bottlings.
Drinks by the Dram has partnered with esteemed indie bottler That Boutique-y Gin Company to produce this marvellous advent calendar. There’s a different wax-sealed sample bottle behind every door, and for 2022 a total of thirteen brand-new recipes have been introduced.

Created at the Bruichladdich distillery, this superb Islay gin was distilled in the ‘ugly betty’ still described as “an oversized upside-down dustbin made of copper” by Tom Morton. Perhaps the best looking packaging we’ve ever seen for a gin – it’s not all style and no substance either. This is a world-class gin, at a proper ABV.
A huge 31 botanicals go into The Botanist, including some native to Islay. From the fabulous folks that brought us Pig’s Nose and Sheep Dip comes The Feathery Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. It’s made entirely from malt whisky matured in Sherry casks, imparting a rich sweetness. The name is less animal related than their previous expressions – it celebrates Scottish craftsmanship, referring to a 17th Century precursor to the golf ball, called a Feathery. It was made with hide and stuffed with “a top hat full” of chicken feathers!
The Gladstone Axe is a blend of Highland malt whiskies, selected from 14 different distilleries and matured in American oak. The label has a portrait of William Gladstone, posing with an axe, because as well as serving four terms as prime minister of the United Kingdom in the 1800s, he apparently had a passion for tree felling!
The Black Axe is a blended malt from The Gladstone Axe, combining whiskies from the Highland and Islay regions of Scotland. There is a portrait of former prime minister of the United Kingdom, William Gladstone on the label, wielding an axe! It is said that in his spare time, he took great pleasure in cutting down trees.
This spirit has been matured in bourbon casks.

More creative cask finishing wizardry from the gang at the Lakes Distillery! This expression of The One blended whisky was treated to a finish in Colheita Port casks. Colheita Port is made using the grapes from a single harvest, and notes of delicate fruits and warming spices certainly shine here.
A tasty blended whisky from The Lakes Distillery, featuring its very own English single malt at its heart, alongside single malt and grain whiskies from Scotland. Lakes whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi has created a marvellous expression here, revolving around juicy fruit notes and waves of honey, with a smidge of oak and smoke shining through. No chill-filtration or additional colourings here.

Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour, with only the natural colours derived from our oak casks in every bottle. Bottled at 46.6% ABV.

This is a limited-edition release from The Lakes Distillery’s Whiskymaker’s Editions series, Mosaic offers a diversion from the distillery’s usual sherry-forward style. Inspired by the Silk Road, Mosaic offers aromas of wood smoke, crunchy autumn leaves and soft oak spice fill the nose, complemented by notes of apple blossom, sweet cherries, aromatic oak and delicate spice throughout the palate.

The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve series concludes (a real shame it’s ending) with another sherry-tastic release that proves English whisky can compete with the best. For No.7, it’s a blend of oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, comprising Spanish and American oak, that was bottled at 52% ABV non-chill filtered, with natural colour.

Tío Pepe, produced by González Byass in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), is one of the most famous and acclaimed sherries in the world.
This 100 percent sherry is made from Palomino grapes planted at a 600 acre estate on the outskirts Jerez, in the “Jerez Superior” area.
The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are transported in 15-kg boxes to prevent them from breaking and beginning fermentation prematurely.
The grapes are gently crushed to obtain the first pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The must obtains 12-13% alcohol content, and will later be used as a “vino fino” (refined wine) or Oloroso sherry.
Wine that is selected to become part of the “criadera” of Tío Pepe is fortified with wine alcohol up to 15% ABV, becoming a “Sobretabla Fino” that will age one more year in American oak casks before becoming part of the “Criaderas y Solera” range, a denomination it will keep for at least five years.
Tito’s Vodka is a small batch, gluten-free vodka made in small-batches in Austin, Texas, by Tito Beveridge. It’s distilled six times in a pot still and filtered to reach the level of quality Tito desires for his spirit.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka is made from corn, at the oldest legal distillery in Austin, Texas, USA, with a continuous distillation method of up to six times. A real artisanal vodka that is produced in small batches and is kind of unusual, due to its origin mainly.
Each batch is organoleptically inspected by experienced operators. Made to satisfy the taste of both connoisseurs and any sort of consumers. Soft and enjoyable on the palate, with a wonderful oiliness to complete this masterpiece.
Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV. What a way to get back in the swing of things!
Tasting Note
Nose: Fragrant raspberries and blackberries, with malty vanilla and toasted cassia underneath.
Palate: Christmas cake, toffee, Lion Bars, and subtle whiffs of dry oak.
Finish: Lingering tangy orange, festive spices, and a touch of leather.
This 18-year-old single malt is part of a series of six Tobermory bottles exclusive to Germany. Aged it bourbon casks, it has a light, fresh and floral nose accompanied by notes of oak, maple syrup and sea salt on the palate.

A special edition Tobermory, originally bottled for the German market – we’ve managed to grab a few to let more Tobermory fans have a try. Matured in sherry casks, it’s a rich and spicy look at this weighty and complex island whisky.
This beautiful 21-year-old whisky is a new addition to the Tobermory range that was finished in ex-oloroso sherry casks. These were chosen to create flavours reminiscent of foraged fruit found scattered across the distillery’s charming home on the Isle of Mull.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep gold. This is an inference based on the bottle image, mature age statement and natural presentation style typical of boutique independent whisky releases.
Nose: Citrus peel, honeyed malt, ripe orchard fruit, soft coastal air and gentle oak spice. This is a careful style-led inference based on Tobermory’s published fruity, subtly spiced and maritime distillery character combined with the whisky’s 24 year maturity.
Palate: Rounded and mature with baked apple, vanilla cream, polished oak, light pepper and a delicate salty lift. This is an inference based on the verified distillery profile, age statement and higher bottling strength.
Finish: Long, elegant and warming with lingering fruit, oak spice and a faint maritime edge. This is an inference based on the whisky’s mature island style and 49.1% strength.
Tasting Note

A 9 year old blended whisky from Chugoku Jozo’s interesting Togouchi range. The producers create their expressions with whisky from both Scotland and Canada, and age it in a railway tunnel in Japan (which is a nice change of scenery for those cask – certainly very different from your run-of-the-mill warehouse!).
New creation from Chugoku Jozo, Togouchi Pure Malt is a blend of single malts imported from different distilleries, then aged, blended and bottled in Japan.
Very slightly peaty, this whisky reveals a pleasantly greedy nose with notes of vanilla, chocolate, ripe apricot to which aromas of fresh cream are added to the palate while the fine peat asserts itself. On the finish, the bitter cocoa and hazelnut notes accompany the slowly disappearing peat.
Togouchi Pure Malt surprises with its strong character inherited from the meticulous selection of Sherry and Bourbon casks in which the single malts have been aged between 3 and 9 years.
Togouchi whiskies are specific in that they are only aged, blended, diluted in Japan and highlight the work of blending for the future productions of the Sakurao distillery. The aging of whisky casks imported from Scotland and Canada takes place in a unique site: a tunnel 361m long and dug in 1970 offering ideal conditions for maturation (constant temperature of 14°C and humidity of 80%). Part of their Japanese character is transmitted by the terroir through the spring water used for the reduction of the alcoholic volume which is drawn from the heart of the preserved mountains of the Sandankyo natural park.
Togouchi Sake Cask Finish is a blend whisky produced by Chugoku Jozo famous for its traditional sakes. The imported Bourbon barrels are installed in the old railway tunnel to be aged there. Then Chef Blender selects and blends the precious whisky to finish it for 3 months in sake casks before bottling it.
Expressing a delicate nose with notes of vanilla, green apple and malt, Togouchi Sake Cask Finish delivers its complexity on the palate with the appearance of lactic, woody and fruity aromas (white fruit). In a long finish, it will leave a few scents of white fruit, spices and malt.

An addition to its core range in 2024, Tomatin 12 Year Old Sherry Cask builds upon the classic 12 Year Old but is instead fully matured in sherry casks for 12 years. The bottle design boasts lots of scarlet and gold to pay homage to the flavours imparted by the sherry wood during the cask maturation process.
This distillery bottling from Tomatin is part of the ‘Portuguese Collection’. It’s been aged for fifteen years, including a seven-year finishing period in Port casks. Like the rest of the collection, it was distilled in September 2006.
