Togouchi 9 Year Old (70cl, 40%)
A 9 year old blended whisky from Chugoku Jozo’s interesting Togouchi range. The producers create their expressions with whisky from both Scotland and Canada, and age it in a railway tunnel in Japan (which is a nice change of scenery for those cask – certainly very different from your run-of-the-mill warehouse!).

Description
Tasting Note
Nose:Â Sweet apricot and plum notes, with a dusting of baking spices.
Palate:Â Lemon and orange peel notes develop, with a pinch of peat smoke underneath.
Finish: Anise, cardamom and caramel.
