Launched to celebrate the ongoing renaissance of Irish whiskey, the first expression in the range was finished in ex-Madeira casks – this time, the fantastic 18 year old Irish single malt has been finished in ex-Australian Shiraz casks after maturing in ex-bourbon barrels. This has imparted a generous scoop of ripe fruit notes, along with a dusting of vibrant spices. A release of 9,000 bottles.

Tasting Note

Nose: Sun-dried raisins, cherry Bakewells, cinnamon sticks and rounded malt.

Palate: More juicy cherry notes, supported by strawberries and cream, black pepper, buttery vanilla and sponge cake.

Finish: Red fruit lasts, balanced by a touch of toasted cedar.
