Nose: Fermented strawberry preserve with vanilla sugar and a note of doughy churros. Plumes of charred oak rush through the nose but doesn’t hide vegetal green peppercorn or chalky muesli.

Palate: A crisp delivery brings steamed oranges and cranberry sauce, with peach cobbler, stewed barley, a little honey and an earthy smoke lingering.

Finish: Ashy oak and the smattering of honey fade and reveal a slight grassiness on the finish, as well as a lick of peppermint.
