Glenfiddich 40 Year Old Release 6 No.109 (70cl, 45.8%)
The 6th release of 40 year old single malt from the Glenfiddich distillery. Interestingly, Glenfiddich use remnant vatting to create their 40 year old expressions – the Malt Master selects casks and then marries them along with the whisky left over from the previous release! Only 600 bottles were produced, presented in a leather case.
The pictures are from the actual bottle frond and back, if you’d like more detailed photos just get in touch!
The box is scratched on the right side, and the inside of the box also has some scratches as shows the pictures.

Tasting Note
Nose Beautifully rich and aromatic with layer upon layer of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and ripe black cherries. Occasional wafts of gentle wood smoke, polished leather and cloves.
Palate Silky smooth and luxuriously mouth coating. The initial flavours are intense dried fruits, Christmas cake, dates, raisins and stewed apples. Over time slightly dryish oak notes appear with some bitter chocolate and just the merest hint of peat.
Finish Incredibly long lasting and complex – a truly memorable experience.
