Nose Bright and fragrant with citrus zest, green apple, and freshly cut grass layered over vanilla, almond, and subtle malty oak
Multiple reviewers note a dominating sherry-led character—dried fruits, plum, prune, and red berries (though not overly tart) combined with spice and licorice
Palate The palate is full‑flavoured, initially soft and creamy in line with Auchentoshan’s triple distillation — lemon curd, honey, and gentle oak, with spice notes like white pepper and nutmeg adding depth
As it evolves, the influence of sherry grows: layers of dried and cooked fruits (plums, prunes, figs), acacia honey, toffee, liquorice, cooked oranges, and a hint of chocolate‑toffee richness
