There’s big spices (think ginger, mint and a little sprinkle of cinnamon), there’s juicy fruit (plum and clementine), there’s a touch of smoky charred oak – all well placed and in harmony with each other. From GlenAllachie’s Wood Collection comes an Amontillado sherry finish single malt Scotch whisky. Beginning its life as a Fino, Amontillado sherry undergoes an additional maturation period without a ‘flor’ layer, a stage of oxidative ageing that develops a richer colour and more robust characteristics. Hogshead casks that previously held this sherry style were used to age this whisky, bottled at 48% ABV without chill-filtration or additional colouring.

It’s known for its pale appearance and delicate sweetness, which is harnessed by GlenAllachie for this whisky, finished in Fino sherry casks. It brings notes of sugared almonds, custard, and orchard fruit in a single malt Scotch whisky which was bottled at 48% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour for The Wood Collection.

The Macallan Home Collection celebrates the traditions and community surrounding the famous distillery. It was originally sold at the Macallan Estate, and at selected airports. The box features watercolour art by Colin Rizza, a MacAllan employee.

From the first series of whiskies by Meikle Tòir, a peated whisky brand made at GlenAllachie Distillery with the assistance of expert whisky maker Billy Walker, whose influence can certainly be seen here with this innovative cask profile. The single malt Scotch whisky, peated to 35ppm (using mainland St. Fergus peat, a sweeter variety than its coastal counterparts) and fermented for a lengthy 160 hours fermentation, was aged in American oak bourbon barrels followed by Chinquapin virgin oak casks, a bold barrel that imparts big, sweet, and rich flavours.

Subsequently, the whisky underwent additional maturation for over two years in wine barriques skilfully sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker, imparting a distinctive twist onto the GlenAllachie spirit.
Located in the heart of Portugal, the Douro Valley is one of the world’s oldest protected wine regions, established in 1756. With the country’s highest wine classification as a Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC), this historic region is a significant producer of robust, characterful red wines. The barriques selected have imparted richness of both colour and flavour to our Speyside malt, offering decadent layers of dried stone fruits and delicate hints of warming spice.
This expression is bottled unchilfiltered for flavour with no added colouring at 48% ABV.

To craft The GlenAllachie Wine Series, we first expertly matured our spirit in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels. Subsequently, the whisky underwent additional maturation for over two years in wine barriques skilfully sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker, imparting a distinctive twist onto the GlenAllachie spirit.
These particular French oak barriques were procured from one of just five Premier Cru Classé chateaux located in the world-renowned wine region of Bordeaux, France. Top of the official Bordeaux wine classification, these estates are considered to produce wines of the highest quality and flavour. Maturation in casks which previously held such full-bodied red wine has imbibed our honeyed spirit with deep notes of black cherry and smooth espresso. The resulting golden malt delivers a truly refined yet complex drinking experience.

A limited-edition nine-year-old single malt form Glenallachie that was distilled in 2012 and initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before a secondary maturation in European oak wine barriques from Languedoc and Valpolicella, as well as two Premier Cru Classé chateaux in Bordeaux. Aromas of orange blossom, Maraschino cherries, espresso, honeysuckle, hazelnuts, lavender, cinnamon and peaches fill the nose, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, redcurrants, sugared almonds, burnt coffee beans, orange zest, ginger, liquorice and blackberries throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.

In celebration of Master Distiller Billy Walker’s half-century long career in the whisky industry, we are delighted to unveil the second in The Past, Present and Future Series: The GlenAllachie 50th Anniversary Present Edition.
This rare expression illustrates Billy’s present, where he is avidly implementing an incredibly innovative cask management policy. After initial maturation in PX and Oloroso Sherry casks, the spirit enjoyed secondary aging in specially selected Mizunara casks, a very scarce and expensive species of Japanese oak. Notoriously difficult to cooper and prone to leaking, these casks are rarely used for whisky maturation. Although posing difficulties, their porous nature lends to the spirit sinking deeper into the wood, imparting complex notes of sandalwood and cinnamon.
Presented at 48%, with no added colour or chill filtration for maximum flavour.
Limited release of 2,900 bottles worldwide.

Aromas of dried fruit – figs and apricots – orange peel, fruitcake, vanilla marzipan and butter fill the nose. The palate offers notes of dry oak, green apples, grapes and coconut, with ginger, beeswax and a hint of smoke lingering in the finish.
