Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dhà (70cl, 46.3%)
If the movie industry has proven anything (apart from Tom Hanks being a treasure), it’s that people love a good sequel. Well, that idea is coming over to the whisky world – this right here is Bunnahabhain’s Toiteach a Dhà, which means “Smoky Two” in Gaelic. It’s the sequel to their popular peaty treat Bunnahabhain Toiteach, featuring a much more up-front core of sherried spice shining out between the smoky plumes.
Speyburn 16 Year Old (1L, 43%)
This 16 Year Old Speyburn spent its days maturing exclusively in American oak bourbon barrels, so this Speysider is packed full of all those creamy vanilla notes we’ve come to know and love from the cask type and Speyburn’s spirit. This was initially released as a Travel Retail Exclusive, presented in a one litre bottle at 43% ABV.

12 Year Old Double Cask Year Of The Rat
The introduction of the Double Cask series in 2018 marked the distillery’s triumphant return to age-statement expressions following the, let’s generously say, “mixed” reception of its 1824 series. This bottling is the marriage of sherry-seasoned American Oak and European Oak.

Brilliant single malt to enjoy as an aperitif on a warm evening.
Tamnavulin Double Cask (70cl, 40%)
Tamnavulin Double Cask was the first release from the distillery since the 1990s! Over the past 20 or so years, the distillery changed hands from Invergordon Distillers to Whyte & MacKay, closed a few years later and reopened in 2007. Much of its single malt output is used in blends, but a few casks of single malt would sneak out as indie bottlings to allow us a rare taste of Tamnavulin – but now they’ve got their very own expression! They initially mature it in American oak barrels before treating them to a finishing period in Sherry casks.
