From a single 1st Fill Cask, number 15059, that previously contained Oloroso Sherry, this unpeated Single Cask has notes of cherry and banana with components of dark chocolate, dried apricot and creamy vanilla. A whisky that was distilled on July 14, 1997 and bottled on January 17, 2022 with only 665 numbered bottles. A real treasure that has rested for 24 years in the distillery’s cellar.

While smoky whiskies used to be much more of a thing in the Speyside region many moons ago, that’s not quite the case these days. However, Benriach has long produced peated spirit for a short while each year, and this expression shows off the fruits of that labour in its full splendour! Matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks, this one packs a bold flavour profile for sure.
