Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair (70cl, 46.3%)
Bunnahabhain’s Stiùireadair single malt pays homage to the distillery’s shoreline on the north-east coast of Islay. They used whisky matured in first and second fill Sherry casks, with a leaning towards deliciously coastal malt.
Dalwhinnie Winter’s Gold (70cl, 43%)
Dalwhinnie Winter’s Gold is a 2015 addition to the Highland distillery’s range inspired by the chilly climate up in the remote part of Scotland where their single malt Scotch whisky is distilled – as the label remarks, it was “Crafted by the Cold”. It’s made only with spirit that has been distilled between October and March, and interestingly enough, they suggest that you try serving this expression frozen!
Highland Park Spirit Of The Bear (1L, 40%)
GlenDronach Traditionally Peated (70cl, 48%)
As you may have guessed from the name of this expression, GlenDronach is going back in time with Traditionally Peated. More specifically, about 200 years back, to the year 1826 when the distillery was founded, and it was common practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting. For the whisky, the distillery has kept its traditional sherried style, marrying liquid from a range of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks, all bottled up at 48% ABV.
Glenmorangie 14 Year Old The Quinta Ruban Port Finish (70cl, 46%)
A full-bodied, silky-smooth single malt from Glenmorangie, finished in a Quinta Ruban port cask, creating a rich chocolate flavour. Glenlivet 12 Year Old Double Oak (70cl, 40%)
This whisky has been called a lot of things in its time: smooth, fruity, complex, sophisticated, entertaining, classic. The Original Malt Whisky Almanac says: “A first-class malt. One of the most popular malts in the world – deservedly so.” Representing The Glenlivet’s signature style, this classic malt is first matured in traditional oak, before spending time in American oak casks which impart notes of vanilla and gives the whisky it’s distinctive smoothness. The mineral-rich water that comes from Josie’s Well helps form the flavours during mashing and fermentation, whilst the specific height and width of the copper stills add a delicate yet complex character. Keep a bottle on hand for every occasion.
Caol Ila 25 Year Old (70cl, 43%)
Introduced in 2010, after cask strength versions in 2004 and 2005, this is the first officially-bottled Caol Ila 25yo to be bottled at 43%. Macallan Concept No.2 2019 Music (70cl, 40%)
Macallan Concept No. 2 is a no-age-statement single malt from the Speyside distillery matured in Sherry-seasoned American oak casks.
Whisky maker Steven Bremner used his passions for blending malts and mixing house music as his inspiration for the release.
He said: ‘Music has inspired many aspects of my life, both creatively and practically, as has whisky, so the creation of Concept Number 2 allowed me to look at my two passions through a different lens.
‘Creating a track and crafting a single malt can take a similar path. Beginning with the layering of sounds just like the layering of different flavours from specific cask types.
‘Each different cask brings its own influence to the character of the liquid, like each instrument, or sound, adds depth to a track. In both cases, we can alter each different element to play up or down particular sounds or flavours.’

Single malt Craigellachie hasn’t been seen much outside of indie bottlings recently, so this is an ace return to our glasses from the distillery!

Macallan Classic Cut 2019 Release (70cl, 52.9%)
The third edition in the limited annual series, The Macallan Classic Cut – 2019 Edition has an ideal ABV of 52.9% to bring forth the full character of the single malt. This has been chosen by the Whisky Maker Polly Logan as the optimum strength to reveal a dominant sweetness and the well balanced flavours of this whisky. To truly appreciate the complex flavour dimensions, pour and allow it to breathe for 10-15 minutes for an intensified experience. After this time, heightened flavours of orange, sweet ginger and vanilla come to the forefront, combined with a satisfyingly long finish. Classic Cut 2019 is a truly indulgent single malt whisky.

Glenfiddich Experimental Series Fire & Cane (70cl, 43%)
Let the great experiment… Continue! Glenfiddich has added a new expression to its Experimental Series, unveiling Fire & Cane in mid-2018. Malt master Brian Kinsman has given some of the distillery’s peated single malt a three-month finishing period in rum casks – but not just any old rum casks. He’s selected rum casks from a variety of South American countries to finish this whisky, which ought to play nicely with the burly peat notes at its core.

Isle of Jura 1989 Rare Vintage (70cl, 53.5%)
A 1989 vintage single malt which hails from the Isle of Jura! After it was distilled, it was laid to rest in American white oak bourbon barrels, where it stayed until 2019. Did you know that on Jura there are more deer than people? What a terrifying prospect.

Isle Of Jura Seven Wood (70cl, 42%)

Highland Park Valfather (70cl, 47%)
The final bottling from the Viking Legend series, Valfather was named after the Norse god Odin. It’s the most peated whisky to date from Highland Park, a style designed to mimic Odin’ power. Valfather was matured in refill casks in order to balance the peatiness and also because the brand supposedly wanted to mirror the ethereal and lighter feel of Valhalla, Odin’s hall. It was bottled at 47% ABV without any additional colouring.
Danish designer Jim Lyngvild returned to help create the distinctive packaging, the inspiration of which was the ancient picture stones from Stora Hammars in Gotland, Sweden.

GlenDronach 1993 25 Year Old Master Vintage (70cl, 48.2%)
A rather stunning well-sherried single malt from GlenDronach. Distilled in 1993, the whisky was laid to rest in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. Twenty-five glorious GlenDronach years passed, then master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie selected the casks to create this expression, which has been bottled at 48.2% ABV. The Spanish oak in which it rested has imparted a rich golden hue to the liquid – and, of course, an exceptional flavour profile.

Highland Park Earl Haakon 18 Year Old 1993 Edition 3 (70cl, 54.9%)
The final release in the cult-favourite, uber-collectable collection from Highland Park: “the Magnus series”. Earl Haakon was a character in the Orkney Inga Saga, who murdered his cousin, Magnus (the inspiration for the previous two bottlings in the range). This is aged for 18 years, and it’s absolutely stunning.
Highland Park Saint Magnus 12 Year Old Edition 2 (70cl, 55%)
The second release in the Magnus series from Highland Park, this will sell out before we even finish writing this sentence. It was created to celebrate Saint Magnus, who was described in the Orkenyinga Saga (no idea either) as “a man of extraordinary distinction, tall, with a fine, intelligent look about him.” It goes on this way, with numerous further compliments. We reckon he was writing about himself. Sadly, Saint Magnus was murdered by his treacherous cousin, Haakon.

Bruichladdich Octomore 09.1 Dialogos 5 Year Old (70cl, 59.1%)
An enjoyably punchy and heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich’s Octomore range. Octomore 09.1 sets out to challenge the idea that older means better when it comes to whisky, and it does so by offering up a 5 year old Islay whisky weighing in at 156 PPM, matured in ex-American whiskey casks. Pleasing, they’ve even let us know exactly where those casks came from – they were 51% Jim Beam, 26% Jack Daniel’s, 15% Clermont and 8% Old Grand-Dad casks.
Bruichladdich Octomore 07.1 5 Year Old (70cl, 59.5%)
Peat fans, hold on to your hats, as here comes another Octomore from the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay! The Octomore 07.1 is a 5 year old single malt Scotch whisky, which has been peated to 208 PPM and bottled at 59.5% ABV. The Octomore expressions are always a treat and this one is as complex and intense as ever, while still maintaining a sense of poise and elegance. Oh, and peat. Plenty of yummy, smoky peat.
This limited edition release of the world’s most heavily peated whisky uses barley malted to a whopping 208ppm. Octomore 7.1 was released in 2015 and was the final expression turned out during Jim McEwen’s tenure at the distillery.
Glen Scotia 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
This is the 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Scotia in the Campbeltown region, released in 2015 as part of a redesign for their range. The distillers use specially selected American oak casks to age this expression, which compliment the fruit-forward and subtly coastal whisky rather well.
Macallan Amber 1824 Series (5cl, 40%)
Amber is part of The Macallan’s new no age statement range of Speyside single malts, which concentrates on colour. The theory is that by using 100% sherry casks and natural colour, the darker the whisky, the older and more complex.
Aberfeldy 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)
The classic 12 Year Old Aberfeldy single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in the Highlands. While the label sadly no longer features a red squirrel, it now comes with a rather handsome black and rose-gold colour palate to match the rich, malty, honeyed flavour profile.
Auchentoshan Three Wood (70cl, 43%)
A Lowland single malt matured in 3 different casks, namely: Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, bourbon casks and Oloroso Sherry casks. A distinctive triple distilled whisky from Auchentoshan.

Balvenie 14 Year Old The Week Of Peat Stories No.2 (70cl, 48.3%)
This 14-year-old heavily-peated single malt is the second whisky in the Balvenie Stories collection – a sweet and smoky whisky that balances earthy peat smoke with the distillery’s characteristic citrus edge. Gentle peat smoke, delicate flowers and sweet butterscotch fill the nose, while the palate initially offers notes of sharp citrus, blossom honey, creamy vanilla and rich, earthy peat.
The Balvenie Stories collection is designed to bring to life the tales of ‘character, endeavour and craft’ of those at Balvenie through the generations. The Week of Peat is inspired by the tradition, started in 2002, of distilling peated malt for only one week every year.
Balvenie 12 Year Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak Stories No.1 (70cl, 43%)
A creamy, sweet single malt, The Sweet Toast of American Oak is the first whisky in the Balvenie Stories collection. Finished in heavily-toasted virgin American oak casks from Kentucky, it is even fruitier than normal. Sweet, malty aromas of fudge, citrus and oaky vanilla mingle with spicy ginger and warm cinnamon on the nose. The palate initially offers notes of candied orange peel, vanilla toffee and butterscotch, developing slowly into flavours of melted brown sugar, blossom honey and rich oak spice.

Highland Park Dark Origins (70cl, 46.8%)
Highland Park Dark Origins is a new core bottling that celebrates the early days of Magnus Eunson’s illicit distilling on Orkney, back before the distillery was even founded in 1798. Magnus worked as a butcher and church official by day, but by night he was a legendary whisky smuggler and distiller outwitting the exciseman.
To honour their hero (the Batman of the Orkney Islands, if you will), Highland Park have created a whisky with a suitably ‘dark’ character. Using 80% first-fill Sherry casks (20% refill) – 60% are first-fill European oak, with 20% being first-fill American oak – an exciting, spicy, chocolatey whisky has been produced.
Highland Park 18 Year Old Viking Pride Batch 2019 (70cl, 43%)
Highland Park’s 18 Year Old enjoyed a redesign in 2017, receiving livery inspired by the wood carvings from Urnes Stave Church and a new sub-name, “Viking Pride”. The Orkney single malt remains the same as before – rich, complex and supremely delicious.
Glenfarclas 12 Year Old (1L, 43%)
Lots of sherry and fruit in this, Glenfarclas 12 was originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. In 2006, it was named the “Best Sherried Whisky” in the Single Malt World Cup, and in 2007 and 2008 it won Gold at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival.
Glenfarclas 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
A wonderfully sherried 15 year old dram from Glenfarclas, boasting oodles of dried fruit notes. It’s bottled at 46% ABV simply because this was the strength that George Grant’s grandfather preferred it at. Happily, this also results in the Speysider boasting a big, juicy, Christmas cake profile. A fabulously complex Scotch while also being easily drinkable
Tomatin 15 Year Old Moscatel Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)
15 year old single malt from the Tomatin distillery, which have been treated to a generous five-year-long finishing period in casks that previously held Portuguese Moscatel wine.
