A smooth, velvety entry leads to a mildly sweet full body of roasted almond, marzipan, dried citrus, and complex brown spice flavors. Chios Mastic Liqueur “Psychis” 26% vol 50ml has been traditionally produced in Chios since the beginning of the last century by the Psychis distillery. Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3 (5cl, 64.1%)
The third installment of Highland Park’s Cask Strength series is here! Master whisky maker Gordon Motion opted for a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt than previous releases, resulting in a richly smoky profile. The single malt was matured in a combination of first-fill and refill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks, rounding off the hearty peat smoke with zesty layers of fruit and warming spice. Bottled up at a cask strength of 64.1% ABV, a drop of water certainly helps to bring out layers of soft fruit and floral malt beneath the intense smoke.
Royal Salute 21 Year Old Ruby Flagon 1990s (5cl, 40%)
Royal Salute 21 Year is an homage by Chivas Regal to the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. At 21 years, it is also the youngest in the Royal Salute line-up. Why 21 years old you might ask? 21 is an important designation as it refers to the 21-gun-salute, for generations a form of honor and respect to sovereigns and dignitaries. Be aware that there are 3 different colors for the ceramic decanters (sapphire, ruby, and emerald), but the spirit is the same.
Cutty Black 100 Proof (5cl, 50%)
Undoubtedly anything but a classic whiskey, already on the nose can be seen that you can expect here neither a single malt nor a boring standard blend. As a liquorice friend who appreciates sweet, sticky liquorice liquor almost 😉 as well as a beautiful Irishman or a hefty sweet Scot, I recognize the best of both worlds here. As a whiskey, I would give the Cutty Sark Black no 30 points, but he is too little “pure”, too little deep, not enough aromatic. As an alcoholic liquorice drink, however, the 77 points that I simply give out here are more than just earned.
Kavalan Concertmaster Sherry Cask Finish (70cl, 40%)
A rich and fruity single malt from Kavalan, it has been matured in refill casks and finished in ex-sherry casks, creating layers of warm spices and sweet fruit. It’s time aging in a subtropical climate has brought a bouquet of milk chocolate toffee and almond with hints of walnut on the nose, leading to notes of red berries, orchard fruit and cinnamon on the palate.

Kavalan Classic Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 40%)
King Car distillery is located in Yilan County, Taiwan, and the single malt whisky produced there is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited this northeastern corner of the island: the Kavalan.
Although the distillery was only brought on stream in 2005, the warm sub-tropical climate means that the whisky effectively matures more quickly and an impressive range of whiskies are available (now finally in the UK too!). This Kavalan Single Malt Whisky, for example was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2011 International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Casamigos Añejo Tequila (1L, 40%)
From the Casamigos range (which we believe means ‘house of friends’) comes an Añejo tequila, which has spent 14 months ageing in American white oak casks. This maturation has resulted in a tequila brimming with toffee penny, roasted agave, dark chocolate and sweetly spiced oak notes. The brand was created by Rande Gerber and George Clooney. Yes, that George Clooney.
