Description
Macallan Chairman’s Release 1700 Series 2001–2012 70cl 43% Wooden luxury box is a rare and highly collectible Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Macallan Distillery, one of the most prestigious names in Scotch whisky.
This expression forms part of The 1700 Series, created to mark the year Easter Elchies House—the spiritual home of The Macallan—was built. The Chairman’s Release was first introduced in 2001, representing a significant moment in the distillery’s modern history.
The series was later discontinued in 2012 and replaced by The 1824 Series, making this bottling increasingly rare and desirable among collectors.
Matured in high-quality oak casks, including sherry-seasoned oak, this whisky reflects The Macallan’s signature rich and full-bodied style. The extended maturation delivers depth, balance, and complexity, with a refined and elegant character.
Bottled at 43% ABV and presented in a 70cl bottle, this release offers a luxurious and smooth drinking experience, showcasing the classic Macallan profile.
The result is a sophisticated single malt with notes of dried fruits, chocolate, oak, and spice, supported by a rich and velvety texture.
