Mossburn Blair Athol 12 Year Old 2009 Cask Strength 70cl, 54.5%

This 2009 distillation of Blair Athol has enjoyed just over 12 years of maturation before being bottled by the folks at Mossburn. No fancy cask magicry here, this is your classic bourbon-hogshead-matured Scotch whisky in all its glory. Classic in process, but by no means lacking surprises: hazelnuts and waxiness peppered with wood spice and tannins, all the while coated in honey and oats. Bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
