Glenglassaugh Evolution 70cl, 50% is a bold no-age-statement Highland single malt created from spirit matured in first-fill ex-Tennessee whisky barrels. The casks previously held George Dickel Tennessee whiskey, giving the whisky a distinctive combination of fresh fruit, creamy vanilla, caramel and assertive American oak spice.

This 50% bottling is the second edition of Glenglassaugh Evolution. The original expression was introduced in 2013 at 57.2%, while the later edition reduced the strength to 50% while retaining the first-fill Tennessee barrel maturation.

Its flavour profile is bright, youthful and energetic. Sweet barley, pineapple and buttery vanilla lead into caramelised pear, crisp green apple, ripe banana, salted caramel and white-pepper oak. The higher bottling strength gives the whisky a full texture and allows the fresh fruit and active cask influence to remain expressive.
