Description
TASTE
The wheat malt gives a wonderfully fresh taste to the beer, and the addition of coriander seed and lemon during brewing gives a rich aroma of banana, citrus and herbs.
FINISH
Finished by a fine, slightly sweet aftertaste, the IJwit is a great thirst quencher.
CULINARY
An excellent companion for asparagus or Hollandse Nieuwe.
PARTICULARITIES
In addition to barley malt, they also use wheat malt when brewing the IJwit, from which the beer gets its name. ‘Wit’ is an old Dutch word for wheat. This specialty beer has won a bronze medal during the 3rd Dutch Beer Challenge.
