GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Ruby Port Cask Finnish 70cl, 48%
A new edition in Glenallachie’s The Wood Collection. Here is the Speyside single malt whisky, which matured for a total of 10 years, finished in Ruby port casks. This resulted in notes such as orange zest, apricot, red berries, chocolate and mocha. (48%)
Originating from Portugal’s celebrated Douro Valley region, Ruby Port is typically more youthful than other Port styles with a vibrant and fruit-forward profile.
Ageing in hogsheads that previously held this full-bodied fortified wine has resulted in pronounced forest fruit qualities alongside The GlenAllachie’s heather honey DNA.
Specially selected for Europe, this Wood Collection bottling is presented at 48% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, allowing the unique character to shine through.

For a long time Caol Ila was only available as a single malt by visiting the distillery or through independent bottlers. Initially made available via a release in the Flora and Fauna series, the first official releases came in 2002. Known for its peated style of malt (same ppm as Lagavulin) up to 30% of production is now unpeated.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company has been in the indie bottling biz for over a decade and has built up a cult following thanks to its exceptional liquids, and storytelling labels with artwork from Emily Chappell. Now it’s celebrating those labels with a collection of limited-edition whiskies, highlighting some of the favourite characters from past designs, and in full-sized 700ml bottles, rather than Boutique-y’s standard 500ml size! This single malt from Caol Ila matured for a total of 12 years, including a finish in a rum cask, ramping up the tropical fruits and creamy sweetness of the coastal malt at its core. The label features Prince Vultan, which Flash Gordon fans might recognise from the ’80s film, and keen-eyed Boutique-y fans will have seen hiding within the artwork for previous Caol Ila bottlings.

Released as part of the Johnnie Walker Black Label Origin series, this here is the Islay Origin expression! It marries a blend of Islay malts, including the likes of Caol Ila and Lagavulin. TDL Fernandes 17 Year Old That Boutique-y Rum Company (50cl, 66%)
A superb 17-year-old multi-column still rum from Trinidad Distillers Limited. Nowadays, rum in Trinidad is produced by one large-scale producer, but that wasn’t always the case. The story goes that the Fernandes brand was responsible for creating one of the most iconic bottlings of days gone by, from casks salvaged from a fire-damaged warehouse. Once the initial bottles ran out, the challenge of making more arose, so a number of different blending marques were used to recreate the correct profile. This right here is one of those blending marques, it’s a heavy-column rum that would likely have only been used in small amounts in the original blend, but here’s the opportunity to try it untouched, in all its long-aged glory, thanks to That Boutique-y Rum Company.
