Once a year, the Metaxa Private Reserve is manufactured according to an old family recipe from the Spyros Metaxa family, crowning their work. But the winemaker Constantinos Raptis married well-matured muscatel wines with handpicked wine distillates that matured for at least 30 years in the Metaxa cellars.

Tasting Note
Nose:Â Honey-dipped dark chocolate, coffee beans, light floral notes and rich oak.
Palate:Â Cigar box mustiness, figs, raisins and orange zest.
Finish:Â A long finish with hints of smoke.
Overall:Â Intensely enjoyable from the nose to the finish.
