Created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, Guardian Oak is matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned European oak casks and refill sherry casks. These casks were selected to deliver the classic European oak profile of dried fruits and sweet spices, with a long, rich oak-led finish. As part of the Harmony Collection’s sustainability theme, oak chippings created during cask production are repurposed in the presentation box and bottle labels, adding an extra layer of identity to the release.
