Royal Anniversary Edition Celebrating Two Eternal Spirits 2005 by Duncan Taylor
Independent bottler Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky has presented a Laphroaig set to HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla for their 20th wedding anniversary.
The Scotch whisky bottler received a request to send a special gift for a 20th wedding anniversary to Buckingham Palace.
Celebrating the wedding of HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla in 2005, the latest gift marks the third time that the Aberdeenshire company has presented gifts to the royals.
Duncan Taylor first gifted a Coronation Trilogy of Laphroaig whiskies to HM Queen Camilla before her Scottish Coronation with the King in 2023.
To commemorate the twentieth wedding anniversary of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla, Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited proudly presents The Royal Anniversary Edition.
This exclusive release features a distinguished pairing: a Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky—one of His Majesty’s favoured drams—and a London Dry Gin matured in the same Laphroaig cask. Presented on a removable display plinth, the duo represents the harmonious union of Two Eternal Spirits.
The whisky was distilled at the Laphroaig Distillery on 21 September 2005 and matured in cask number 800320 for 19 years before being bottled at 56.4% ABV on 26 September 2024. On that same day, the cask began a new journey—aging the gin for nearly seven months, until it was bottled at 50% ABV on 9 April 2025, the couple’s anniversary.
Limited to just 205 sequentially numbered sets, each is crafted from environmentally sustainable materials and includes a certificate of authenticity for both the Laphroaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the cask-aged Gin.
Last year, the company celebrated the 900th anniversary of Edinburgh’s status as a royal burgh by presenting the king and queen with a collection of whiskies from The Macallan’s Rare Collection.
This year’s gift, the Royal Anniversary Edition, includes a 19-year-old Laphroaig single malt distilled in 2005 and bottled at 56.4% ABV, along with a gin aged for seven months in the same cask and bottled on the anniversary date of 9 April 2025. The gin boasts an ABV of 50%.
