The first release in the Johnnie Walker Select Cask range is this expression which was blended using whiskies matured in first-fill American oak casks for at least 10 years, and then finished in ex-rye whiskey casks – which is very interesting indeed!

Description
Tasting Note
Nose: Winter spices and sticky brown sugar melting in a pan. A hint of zesty fruit hides away underneath (think Curaçao orange and green apple).
Palate:Â Dark chocolate, creamy vanilla, spicy oak leading into recognisable lively rye notes.
Finish:Â Subtly sweet on the medium length finish.
