Tasting Note
Nose: Powerful and complex. Rich cherry kirsch and ripe red berries blend with luscious dried fruits—figs, raisins, and dates—layered over warm sherry sweetness, vanilla custard, and toasted oak. Spices such as cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg add depth, with subtle hints of dark chocolate and marzipan.
Palate: Full-bodied and intense. Juicy cherry and plum mingle with caramel toffee, almond praline, and warming spices—cinnamon, black pepper, and clove. The 1st fill sherry cask imparts rich dried fruit notes balanced by a vibrant malt sweetness and a touch of citrus zest.
Finish: Long and warming. Lingering flavors of sherry sweetness, dark fruits, gentle spice, and toasted oak fade gradually, leaving a rich, satisfying aftertaste.
Overall: A powerful Speyside malt with bold sherry influence, showcasing deep fruit and spice complexity. The high ABV cask strength amplifies intensity while maintaining balance and elegance.
