Description
Freixenet Ice Cava 75cl, 11.5% is a refreshing Spanish sparkling wine created specifically to be enjoyed over large ice cubes. Presented in Freixenet’s distinctive frosted white bottle, it offers a modern and relaxed alternative to traditionally served Cava.
This special cuvée combines the classic Spanish varieties Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada with a touch of Chardonnay. The traditional grapes provide freshness, structure and delicate fruit, while Chardonnay adds richness, intensity and a smoother texture.
Freixenet Ice is produced as a Semi Seco, or medium-dry, Cava. Its slightly sweeter profile is intentional, allowing the wine to remain balanced and expressive as the ice gradually melts. Fine bubbles carry aromas of white flowers, peach, ripe pear and pineapple, followed by a creamy palate and a long, pleasantly refreshing finish.
Serve it in a large balloon or wine glass filled with ice. Fresh mint, sliced peach, strawberries, citrus peel or tropical fruit can be added for a more decorative and aromatic serve.
Why Choose Freixenet Ice Cava 75cl, 11.5%
This Cava stands out because it was formulated specifically for drinking over ice. Unlike a conventional Brut Cava, its richer fruit and medium-dry sweetness help preserve flavour and balance after the ice has been added.
Its profile is approachable and easy to enjoy, combining peach, pear and tropical-fruit sweetness with lively acidity and elegant bubbles. The addition of Chardonnay brings extra creaminess and body, while the traditional Cava varieties maintain freshness.
The striking white bottle also gives Freixenet Ice excellent visual appeal for summer parties, celebrations, weddings and gifting. It is an attractive choice for customers who want sparkling wine without the dryness of a traditional Brut.
Ideal For.
This bottle is ideal for customers who enjoy fruity, medium-dry sparkling wines with gentle sweetness and a creamy texture.
It is ideal for summer parties, poolside occasions, weddings, brunches, outdoor celebrations and relaxed evenings with friends.
It is also ideal for serving with fresh fruit, fruit-based desserts, creamy cheeses, light pastries and mildly spicy dishes. Freixenet officially recommends it with desserts and fresh fruits.
For the signature serve, pour it into a large glass over several large ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint, peach, strawberries or citrus.

The bottle nevertheless has strong display appeal because of its frosted white finish, elegant gold details and recognisable Freixenet presentation. Earlier label designs and packaging variations may be of interest to collectors building a complete Freixenet range.
This style is best enjoyed young, while its fruit remains vibrant and its bubbles fresh. It is not designed for extended cellar ageing, and bottles should be stored in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight.
